A Taste Of Australia In Vietnam with Luke Nguyen

From Saturday, 16 November at 6.00pm

Luke Nguyen travels through Vietnam meeting with inspiring Australians who are making a difference across the country, while cooking with Australian produce and enjoying Vietnamese regional dishes.

Episode One: Hanoi

Luke starts his journey through Vietnam in the capital, Hanoi, where he enjoys the city’s signature dish of Chả Cá. At Hoan Kiem Lake, he meets with Vietnamese-Australian Jimmy Pham, founder of KOTO, a pioneering social enterprise providing hospitality training to transform the lives of disadvantaged youth and hears from some of the trainees at KOTO’s training restaurant. Luke extends his visit to Hanoi to further explore Old Quarter Street food options, including beef papaya salad, a steaming bowl of sea snails and iconic egg coffee, and joins KOTO graduate, Chef Cong, at Capella Hotel to cook Australian wagyu striploin with a Vietnamese twist.
