About time.

Sorry, I’m glad to see the back of him. He may be a good player but he played for a grub of a club.

No surprise there, especially after going out on top with a premiership last year.

I’m just surprised it took him this long to announce it.

Remember, the world revolves around him. We’re the cow in Twister. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think there’s anyone who really thinks that, not even Cam Smith.

Since he moved to QLD, I think everyone at the Storm knew he wasn’t going to be there again this year, but they’ve done well in having Harry Grant and Brandon Smith available to cover his role.

Their game plan won’t change much without him, I think they can make Top 4 again this year.

It was the top item on 3AW’s 1pm news, bumping the 2028 closure of Yallourn power station to third.
I am not surprised at Cameron Smith’s retirement, but surprised it took until the day before the season opener to announce it.
Smith and former teammate Billy Slater were at the unveiling of their bronze statues outside Melbourne’s AAMI Park today.

About time he announced his retirement. To do it the day before the season opener though? So they can talk about it non stop in tomorrow’s opener? Should have announced it earlier!

I’m amazed that the club (and possibly the NRL) allowed it to drag out - then again the game did give his wife an expensive ring
