Rugby League

Cracking game between the Broncos and Titans.

The Titans are truly the competition’s most pointless team but they are entertaining at points.

Oh Broncos!

Losing another game they were expected to win comfortably.. going down 23-28 at home.

After last week’s loss to the bottom placed Dragons, this is one I thought they’d win for sure.

The Panthers have smashed the Wests Tigers 68-0 at Commbank Stadium. The 68-point margin was the highest victory by the Panthers, eclipsing the 58 points over Manly in 2004.

It doesn’t look good for Rugby League at all.

Plenty of lopsided scorelines in the AFL too.

Boo and hiss to the Sharks winning this afternoon :stuck_out_tongue:

Though your mob had me worried leading 12-6 at half time.

Dragons had 19/20 completions at that point, very Penrith like. It was almost like they swapped jerseys at half time, Cronulla looked much more purposeful in attack, Dragons making all the errors.

Final score CRO 34 - 12 STI

They had me worried too at half time. Still on track for the spoon, thankfully. You can’t play like millionaires for one half and ragamuffins in the other.

A great first half for the Dragons. But as usual, forgot that there were two halves…

Half time score for the Bulldogs v Eels match: 0-0.

That doesn’t happen all that often.

Neither team are playing well today.

0-0 would probably be a fitting result, but Canterbury have just crossed to make it 6-0.

Both teams scored two tries in the second half, but Stephen Crichton’s 76th minute penalty goal gave the Bulldogs the win, 14-12.

I’m not sure that should have even been a penalty. Looked more like a head clash, not a high tackle to me.

Parra a bit unlucky, several Bulldogs forward passes not picked up by the refs, but they picked up a couple of Parra ones.

NSW squad for Origin II now announced.

Ethan Strange pushed out to 18tb man according to The Agenda Setters, despite being one of NSWs best in Game I. Mitchell Moses included despite fitness concerns. Interesting.

9News’ Danny Weidler reported tonight that Laurie Daley is set to make a change to his Blues squad, with revelations Stephen Crichton won’t be fit enough to play in Origin game 2.

Update: Crichton was ruled out on Tuesday with an injured shoulder. Roosters winger Mark Nawaqanitawase has been added to the squad. NSW has also dropped Haumole Olakau’atu and called Dylan Lucas into the starting side.

Things just go from bad to worse for the Broncos, losing 48-6 to the Bunnies tonight Alex Johnston scored 4 tries for Souths.

On top of that, their main halves, Mam and Reynolds left the field with shoulder and hamstring injuries respectively.

That’s 6 losses in a row now, with games against Roosters, Sharks and Panthers next up. Hard to see them making the finals from here.
