That’s a great win by the Sharkies!
A 2 point field goal from Braydon Trindall gets them home 10-8 over the 2nd placed Warriors in Auckland.
That’s 4 wins in a row now for the boys from the Shire.

Parramatta have withstood a 2nd half fightback from Canberra to hold on for a 15-12 win, after scoring the first 15 points of the game.
That is a good win for the men from Endeavour Field. I don’t think it was raining in Auckland (for once!) which makes it a bit easier.
The Raiders will be duking it out with the Dragons for the 'spoon at this point; areas like Nerriga and Batemans Bay (on the Dragons/Raiders interface) are not having the best season to put it mildly!
So that’s there was so many incorrect calls to teams (mainly Roosters)
He was betting on the other team & didn’t want to loose his multi!
Really gritty from the Sharks. I think the Warriors benefit from the rule changes this year with their aerobic pack, but if you get into an arm wrestle they can’t quite assert their advantage.
New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) confirmed on Saturday afternoon that during their training session in Gosford, the 20-year-old strained a quadriceps muscle.
As a result, Sydney’s Mark Nawaqanitawase will go from the extended bench into the starting line-up as a winger with Toluta’u Koula moving into the centres to fill the void left by McLean.
With Nawaqanitawase now taking a starting spot, the Dolphins’ Jack Bostock has been called up to join Laurie Daley’s 20-man squad.
Tigers came from behind to defeat Titans 36-28 at Leichhardt, thanks to Jerome Luai’s double in the final two minutes of the match.
It was the final match at Leichhardt for 2026 before the venue’s redevelopment. Next year Tigers will split their home games between CommBank Stadium and Campbelltown Stadium.
The Origin atmosphere will extend well beyond the MCG, with a State of Origin Illumination Walk, lighting up Birrarung Marr on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Fans will also get the chance to meet the stars and coaches up close at the free Captain’s Call at Queensbridge Square at 12:30pm on Tuesday.
A new State of Origin attendance record at the MCG tonight: 91,671.
A nail-biting second half… ![]()
This year’s State of Origin is going to a decider in Brisbane after Queensland overcame an early 12-2 deficit to beat NSW 44-24 at the MCG tonight. It was only the Maroons’ second win at the venue, their first since 1995.
Selwyn Cobbo scored a hat trick for the Maroons, while Sam Walker was named man of the match with seven conversions and a penalty goal.
The second half became a try-fest with eight tries (six to the Maroons, two to the Blues). There was also a sin bin for Kotoni Staggs in the 63rd minute for his hit on Kalyn Ponga.
According to ABC News live blog, Queensland’s 36 points in the second half is a SOO record for the most scored in a single half.
Once again, Daley has to know that the game has evolved. This is the Six Again era and he still is in the era where what would now be considered Six Again were considered penalities.
It was touch and go for a while in the first half, but Nine will be very happy that Queensland delivered a decider in game 3.
NSW were awful in that 2nd half. Didn’t come out of the sheds.
QLD were great though, as much as I hate to admit! Daley will need to have a long hard think about changes to the team for the 3rd game.
I think NSW need to think about dropping Cleary. Didn’t do much in the first game, and nothing tonight. Moses at half and Strange at 5/8th for Game 3 maybe? But won’t happen, he seems to be a protected species for some reason.
And 68 points combined is too many in an Origin game. Must be a record?
Agree, I don’t think Daley is really a very good coach.
Yuck
How to piss off Dragons supporters who swore at you first?
Tell them your team is owned by a pack of arseholes. Yeah, i made a WIN reference to an moron.
Watch them lose their little minds. ![]()
