“Stay in the Loop on Loop1041”

This is my idea of rebranding CADA. 96one (pronounced “ninety six one”) would revert to being a Western Sydney and Blue Mountains station with local announcers and local ads, playing dance and R&B from the 80s to the 00s. Appreciate your thoughts.

Nova Boy may object to ARN using his old headphones.

last I checked, Nova Boy doesn’t own the trademark to headphones.

they’re used in a different way to how it was used in any of the Nova logos.

Was surprised ARN hadn’t rebranded KIIS at the upfronts last year, the current DSL logo is super dated

Clever use of the II. Much more modern than the lips.

I really think ARN could’ve done so much more than just the lips they’ve gone with.

C’mon Nova. If you can’t do it yourself, I could send over some things. (The wonderful 220x220 blurry portrait of Clint was from Nine.)

Also blowing up the station logo because that might just be the next natural step of the rebranding.

Did a quick mid-week mockup, refreshing the Triple M logo and brand identity after 20-odd years

A bit of can of worms

like the general layout, but not entirely sure about the logo - might be too abstract to represent an M, looks more like a squigglly to me imo

I think the core concept is strong, but the execution and styling feel off. The idea would land much better if MMM were integrated into genre-specific phrases that naturally fit each context—for example, “hMMM… that’s hilarious!” for Mick in the Morning, or “What a MMMark!” for Triple M Rock Footy.

I’m also not entirely clear on who this is aimed at. Are you trying to appeal to a more modern adult male audience, or is the goal to target a younger broader demographic with this design?

It doesn’t look like an M, it looks like a squiggle.

There’s nothing wrong with the current Triple M logo.

tho i would like a reversion to the 90’s shape of the MMM logo

Before the News24 mocks start rushing in, here’s some random Sky UK what-ifs…

What if Sky Scottish, the satellite channel jointly owned by Sky and STV for overseas Scots, lasted longer than 18 months?

This is a simple edit from their ‘egg era’ ident and fitting the Sky Digital-era on-screen logo in it, like Sky Travel did. The helvetica sub-branding would fit the STV ownership better as they retired their thistle symbol with similar wordmark later!

With both Sky and STV rolling out respective on-screen makeovers in 2000, so did their joint venture shortly after.

The ident incorporated bits of the latter’s new blue box symbol, as smaller ones floated through Scottish landmarks while the bigger ones magnified parts of them. The picture postcard was also mirrored side by side, with a ‘third angle’ box joined the two together. The concept apparently was positioning Sky Scottish as the window to the ‘home away from home’, or something like that.

It ran until the original agreement for the joint venture ended in 2003, with Scot content more easily obtained online cited as the reason for its closure.

And an alternative timeline where it was UTV in Northern Ireland that collaborated with Sky for an overseas channel. They weren’t too happy about reusing their old name, but ‘Sky UTV’ just didn’t make sense.

@MossPickle you have great skill! No doubt.

But this looks exactly like what they’ve had for 8 years now.

Design has moved on. This looks very bloody and rigid. No flow. It’s clunky and boxy and unrefined.

would love to see you do something more like MS Now or Fox News

I can’t see them shifting from the blocky design - the minimal graphics seen so far seem very cubed and has a two tone colour scheme similar to their similar Sky News design now
