Good on Seven for a Christmas themed ident. Pity they weren’t more widespread and included watermarks etc.

some ideas once the SCA/Seven merger is done…

These look great. Shame 10 couldn’t put something like this to air over the Christmas break.

quick mock, but something to hopefully unify the final CNBC channels to the new logo (currently as of now CNBC TV18, and Nikkei CNBC still use the peacock)

kinda did Nikkei CNBC like how Times Brazil CNBC is, and then did CNBC TV18 kinda like currently with the TV18 below the logo

Just whipped this up as an idea that I could possibly work on. Inspiration from 1 news, dw news, cbs and apple :rofl:don’t know why the clock text decided to move up.

My take on reskinning Nikkei CNBC. Their main live output is the weekday morning and afternoon shows, so probably nothing got changed because of that. Note the red has the opposite meaning to others too.

Something niche from me: The ITV network in the UK launched a generic package in 1989, which was sent across all their regional stations… except their dedicated breakfast TV broadcaster. But what if they did, and superimposed the symbol onto their existing breakfast show opener, akin to what Tyne Tees TV in Newcastle did with their local news?

To mark the occasion, some MediaSpy logos I mucked around in Adobe Express with.
Tried to recreate the original glassy effect from SPY in the 2006 logo and the orange/pink colour scheme from earlier logos while throwing it with the new logo and the aqua on the Discourse site.

Of course, in true MS fashion, you could also slap a giant 10 logo next to the MediaSpy logo as well :stuck_out_tongue:

first mock of 2026!

wanted to do an expanded version of the above, as a little (and proper) refresh for CBS Evening News

I also like this. Hit has never worked as a brand name for me replacing the somewhat iconic Today era vibes and the swirly logo.

‘Heart’ or even ‘Today’ revived would be better.

Dumping some earlier CBS ideas…

Expanding the CBS Mornings ‘family’ with the new 9-11 show on their streamer, using an old 10 News brand.

The ‘Day’ can be as in market day, so finanical news and outlook before the market opens; and also the start of the work day including the government, hence a look at the possible political agenda on the table in the WH/Senate/House (but they probably wouldn’t go there considering who’s in charge of the newsroom now).

The ‘Watch’ suffix makes it easier to tie in with other similarly-named segments like Money Watch too, thus promoted in the ticker.

Some other stuff around the affiliation switch in Atlanta… What if WUPA is a CBS O&O earlier, say, from 2016, and branded in the corporate graphics package then?

The ‘Now’ news format, designed for the CW stations in 2022, made an appearance here as a gimmick to nighttime news too.

And a further ‘what if’: CBS bought channel 9 in New Jersey/NY from Fox, instead of channel 55, and kept their 10pm news for some sort of ‘tri-state commitment’. Modified the recreated opener templates online and threw in a CBSN streaming ticker for more variety as well.

How the Nightline logo would look in the Nine News 2024-present and 2016-20 logo styles. I would never be against a revival of the bulletin, though I know it’s had its time.

Just a heads up there’s an AI Random Mocks thread

something completely random (so yes it fits the thread :P) but an idea that could’ve worked well back in 2021/22 where the CBS local news package fit in for WIN, or any SCA affiliate to use, and a bit of dual branding as well

(am aware it’s not realistic due to current affiliations/ownerships these days, but still wanted to get this idea out my head)

I think WIN changing their graphics is the more unrealistic part at this point. Well executed though.

I’m not a fan of CBS downgrading the local channel brands with this package - given the local news on CBS stations is often a stronger brand than their national operations, it was a bad move to weaken it, but that’s hardly a problem for WIN.

So I spent the weekend dreaming of blowing up 2Day and building a new brand from the ground up. 2Day has little to no heritage left in the Sydney market, BUT their playlist is sounding really solid compared to KIIS and they need branding that aligns with their new playlist.

I give you LOOP1041, Sydney’s new place for Non-Stop Dance and Pop, Sydney’s now on LOOP.

That’d be a great idea for CADA. And a much better name too. I could imagine it being non-stop music with only a single announcer 6-10am weekdays.

Why does it remind me of the ABC logo with the loop signage

I’ve added on more ‘worldbuilding’ to this, I’m picturing ultra dynamic OOH advertising where digital displays are timed to only advertise the show that is airing at that time, as well as prompts for when on-air competitions are about to air, and ‘status updates’ of what song is currently playing in an effort to build a really strong profile for the station’s music positioning.

With a mix of of static posters littered around inner-city areas of Sydney, incredibly loud posters that stick out like a sore thumb on a street.

and a log for the 9 o’clock hour
