Yeah not sold on the set either, Wanted something new but wasn’t sure what so used that as a bit of a placeholder.

I’m not sure who the target audience of The Project is but i’ve always imagined it would be the younger generation and this definitely matches with it.

Just a quick update to my BBC News mock due to the General Election. Although the GE graphics looked quite good IMHO on screen, it looked just too cumbersome. I decided to do a major clean up of these and align them with the visual system on my mock. In comparison to the previous mock, a vidiprinter would appear when there’s a pushback, allowing for more consistent distribution of results. The headlines bar would be stuck at all times during the coverage, and the app advertisement would feature all avails to how viewers would be able to connect to coverage live.
The intro would remain as it is, but, in the line with the opens proposed in my mock, there would be an American-style voice over to it:
From BBC News, this is Election 2024: The Verdict LIVE. Now, reporting from Broadcasting House in London, here are Laura Kuenssberg and Clive Myrie.
The open would be duly adjusted to fit, featuring a live shot of NBH.

It does look that that, doesnt it looking back? Its actually a gap between the 2 sofas showing the wood panel and the black flooring. But I can see how it looks like a lava lamp!
