Random Mocks

I was mucking around with something too, I like the idea of keeping the wordmark, but switch for the Te Reo equivilent. The curve of the letters is based on the original ovals used in the 1989 TV3 Logo and use the pink/green/cyan combo initially used in the titles of the 2003 graphics.

I envisioned the “t” shape could open out like a flower, to the “o” shape next to it, as an on-air animation.
Not sure if this is any more newsy than the current one though.

In 1987 the satirical TVNZ show, McPhail & Gadsby, poked fun at the newly introduced Lotto with its own parody, “Blotto”. This mock lottery involved scrutineers consuming varying amounts of alcohol - from a single pint of beer to a staggering 40 glasses of whiskey!

The customised “Blotto NZ” logo, a humorous take on the real Lotto NZ logo, featured a clipart beer mug and the same font (Wahoo) used by the actual lottery.

Funnily enough, this mock BBC News intro you posted at the top could look remarkably similar to another broadcaster’s intro later this year

“Being Peachy was so 2018”
Love it.

Just whipped this mock up quickly.

Premise
Based on this new ‘breakfiller’ that is on TVNZ 1 at the moment.

Video that it is based on

The actual mock
A bit more detail on the headlines and a few more bigger stories covered. Imagining this would be a 60 second slot with 7 seconds on each topic and 25 seconds for weather.

Here is a mock production endcap for all sports content produced by Sky. It features the Sky Sport logo against a white background and the text “(c) SKY NETWORK TELEVISION [year]” at the bottom. The mock endcap includes a scripted voiceover, similar to the Nine Network’s Wide World of Sports from Australia, containing the line “This has been another presentation from Sky Sport”.

Very detailed mock for the MDV/MDT shutdown tonight

here’s a less realistic version, because let’s be honest, MDV/WIN wouldn’t make this much effort like I did in my mock

Nice job, would probably replace the 10 logo with the 10 play one.

Let’s be real though. The logo at the bottom would be the WIN Network Australia

Quick and dirty what-ifs: BBC Election edition…

Turning the purple supers into shades of red, but added a slight bevel at the top like Sport. Headline quote courtesy of @bacco007 :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Alternative banner for the US Presidential debate, instead of a cramped box covering Biden’s head. Their bar fits right above the CNN one without the ticker!

And what if we see a similar gig from Washington DC later this year? I created a red and blue 24 symbol, just like India had their own orange/green version.

Just a little tribute mock I designed with the closure of Newshub.

decided to take my own spin on this - incorporating some of the 2019 super design, and compacting it a little bit, made both a two lined version, and a one-lined version (which is what they like these days…):

Yeah not sold on the set either, Wanted something new but wasn’t sure what so used that as a bit of a placeholder.

Oh i love this idea!

I’m not sure who the target audience of The Project is but i’ve always imagined it would be the younger generation and this definitely matches with it.

Just a quick update to my BBC News mock due to the General Election. Although the GE graphics looked quite good IMHO on screen, it looked just too cumbersome. I decided to do a major clean up of these and align them with the visual system on my mock. In comparison to the previous mock, a vidiprinter would appear when there’s a pushback, allowing for more consistent distribution of results. The headlines bar would be stuck at all times during the coverage, and the app advertisement would feature all avails to how viewers would be able to connect to coverage live.

The intro would remain as it is, but, in the line with the opens proposed in my mock, there would be an American-style voice over to it:

From BBC News, this is Election 2024: The Verdict LIVE. Now, reporting from Broadcasting House in London, here are Laura Kuenssberg and Clive Myrie.

The open would be duly adjusted to fit, featuring a live shot of NBH.

More to follow soon.
