LOL, I played the wrong Blancmange track last week (hence, why I played ‘My Mistake’ after it). You’re right though, Blancmange was a classic KROQ band in the 80s.

I heard the same track on the classic countdown that evening on 2st (after not hearing it for years on the radio). I did think I was back in 1994 listening to i98.

I should note that when I say a track is (X CLASSIC) it relates to my own experience. I listened to i98 pretty much exclusively in 1994 as it was the most exotic signal I could get at the time 
Later on I discovered I could get a good mono signal of Power FM 94.9; I surmised (age 9) that this would become a stereo signal once our top level extension was built and I was right!

The fact 2SM has hourly news and a live announcer makes me prefer them over 2UE.
It’d be amazing if SRN also allowed jukebox requests…

There were a couple of instances where I think the announcer said they were playing this song for X etc… but I didn’t hear anything about how to request songs.
But I think 2UE has the better log and it’s in stereo via DAB or streaming.
