Shelter from the storm by Bob Dylan them Too funky by George Michael. This is why I prefer 2ues music over 2ch/ wsfm / smooth. They would not play such a different genre of music as it’s too risky. Not to me. This is more like a SWR that would do that rather than a commercial station in a city.

My format is basically ‘songs that sound good on radio’. Closest to Radio Caroline (melodic rock) with a bit of outright pop every now and then. I will stay away from polarising genres like metal and hip hop, except for the ‘wrong songs’ :).

As you can see, even staying within these confines, there are plenty of songs worthy of airplay that don’t see the light of day on commercial radio. That is my aim with the show.

Some good songs there. Nothing At All / Heart is rarely heard these days. The Promise / When In Rome is a real gem. Can’t think of the last time I heard that on Australian radio, although it’s on high rotation in the US. I recall hearing it literally every day on radio in LA a couple of years back - both KOST and K-Earth play it all the time. I also heard it on BBC Radio 2 on one of their 80s countdowns recently.
