It’s not uncommon for some community FM stations not to initially program their RDS encoders correctly. I regularly see it.
I have seen in group code 2A (RT) plenty of ASCII Decimal code 13 ( NULL characters) after an RT message with one FM station & possibly causing problems. Some RDS FM stations send ASCII Decimal code 32 (SPACE characters) after their RT message. Others resend their RT message immediately after the last message. An underscore is ASCII Decimal character 95. RDS Spy ‘Group Analyser’ using ‘Group Content Full’ tab to look for only Group Code 2A - will reveal what is happening.
Only way to fix to problem would be to contact the radio station & organise to speak with their technician & have them fix the problem. Some radio receivers will react differently to poorly programmed RDS encoders. BTW the last time I ‘briefly’ saw their RDS their time & date was incorrect.
I saw something like that with 2FBi here some years ago.
No PS or RT. Their TX was RDS switched on by default, was outputting group codes 0A & 5A from memory.
Re Radio 97 104.1: A look with an SDR of their MPX spectrum & RDS Spy might reveal more about 2MW on 104.1 re RDS. I understand that 2MW has RDS on 103.5. Maybe @gordo92 might know more about this?

Noted a callsign error for Hit 100.7 Toowoomba in the RDS list corrected to 4RGD

Just got this DAB radio free from my doctors office… they said it wouldnt power up and were going to throw it out… got it in the nick of time… turned out to be a bad power cable when i got home with it… not much of a repair… really happy with it… have found something funny though… 4BH is sounding like a horrible internet stream on it… everything else dab is great(for what limited bitrates u get) However the FM on this thing is the star if the show, its sound is so rich and full and has a full RDS capability with PI codes and everything when you use display… you can even enable AF and TP capability! For anyone looking for a great radio with awesome sound and that can read all the RDS data this is it!

Some wide area SpE today that started before 11am & ended around 2.30pm local time, brought in several stations throughout Qld & SA. Managed partial decodes of 94.7 Emerald, PI code of Fresh 927 Adelaide & almost full decode of 98.7 Mackay, Qld.
Hit FM Emerald 94.7 seams to have a PTYN, but couldn’t decode all of it.
Have updated the RDS List with new data & PI codes from NSW & QLD.
Look for Dec 28th updates in NSW & QLD sheets.

I was wondering for ‘France INTER’ radio station, re captured RDS AF by @TV.Cynic , if the 92.5 frequency might now be old?

For those of you using SDR#, I found a plugin called FM DX RDS Data Logger.
It basically continually scans the FM band on a loop and logs all the RDS information into a CSV file for when you’re away from your SDR. You can also set ‘local’ frequencies for it to skip so that it only logs DX stations’ RDS information.

Thanks so much for your last minute Group Analyser Stat captures.
Is helpful, pity reception was on the way out, might have revealed more.
Can see RRB & Djiido don’t use group code 2A, so no RT, with only Group 0A transmitted only basic RDS used.
Hopefully more opportunities for you in the season.
Need at least a minute of strong reception to determine if Group 4A, clock time (CT) is transmitted. Also maybe several minutes to determine if Groups 3A, 11A etc transmitted for RT+
I often refer to SpE as ‘frantic DX’ so much to do in a short space of time;.
IDing stations, logging as many stations as possible, trying for RDS captures, screenshots, recording, shazam usage for IDing with songs etc.
If you have the luxury of time opportunities in future with your dx for NCL or PNG etc RDS Spy’s Program TAB within the Basic Decoder window can also reveal more details.

Reveals using RT+, has a TP flag, transmits CT (and slight time error), PTY, no usage of PTYN , last two RT message etc.
No FM DX for me yesterday.
ATM Es buildup over Norfolk Island, Hopefully that brings more Es FM DX & RDS captures.

RDS from Mt Mackenzie Tenterfield is on for TEN FM, Breeze and Rebel.
RDS from Mt Marlay Tenterfield is on for TEN’s translator, Breeze, Rebel, 4GR as Triple M and 97.9 Hit FM. Caralis and the nationals at Passchendaele Ridge only services without. TAB in town HPON and VIsion LPON all have RDS too.
Mt Marlay Rebel Media stations include commercials from the western downs. Didn’t think to check on Mt Mackenzie when there earlier.
