However 104.7 Hit in the ACT hasn’t made the change yet.
Yet to take on the new branding, as is Perth
On DAB it has. FM remains as it was.
A couple of QLD regional in ALL CAPS
This has now been corrected by Star 104.5
Noted from 103.5 Orange last night that RDS groups 3A & 11A for RT+ active again.
BTW seams like both HIT & Triple M are standardising their RDS RT messages across their network of FM transmitters in recent times - more same same.
Triple M Melbourne is being creative with RT messages such as
“Triple M ROCKS your lockdown (yours too Karen)”
“Wear your MMMask (you too Karen)”
Plus a lead up message to curfew before 8pm:
“In the words of Neil Finn “You Better Be Home Soon”
and after 8pm
“In the words of Boom Crash Opera “Get Inside Your House!”
Did they get that one mixed up?
Their hit was “Get OUT Of The House” … ?
Yeah I didn’t remember any Get Inside Your House song.
if they keep this up, they’ll have to start playing “Burning Down the House!” by Talking Heads.
Alive 90.5 - Baulkham Hills, NSW has corrected their RT+ Artist (ex Album) label.
In other RDS news:
1. 2DAY FM seams to have their RDS Text stuck on: “Get That Feeling” for past couple of days.
2. As earlier reported by @Radiohead C91.3 has for several weeks not provided any song title or artist info in their RT.
LATE ADDITION: 103.5 FM Orange. Now only transmitting groups 0A & 2A with no RT at all tonight. In with some tropo DX.
UPDATE (12/8/2020): 2DAY FM has resumed normal RT.
Went for a drive to the Upper Hunter today.
Parked in an elevated spot on the east side of Aberdeen and spotted this new bit of RDS.
Unfortunately couldn’t get 88.9 to see what theirs has, assuming they now have it too.
Good to see the Quirindi repeater online. It’s very much needed!
Is there a chance that this is just a full MPX retransmission of 88.9?
I was back out at Merriwa through the week and noticed 96.3 was 15 odd sec behind 88.9 so I’m guessing it’s fed by their stream. Probably can’t get a decent offair signal from 88.9
UPDATED

Hi @AustralianAerial & all.
I have made a small modification & update to your ‘Australian RDS List’ Google Spreadsheet.
On the ‘Update history’ worksheet I have:-
a) Updated within the Directory your new state/territory worksheet colours
b) Also inside these colour cells within the Directory on the 'Update history ’ worksheet I’ve included a FORMULA to show when the most recent when (DATE) change occurred in each respective worksheet (column L). I think (or hope) this might be useful for users & contributing editors re need for updating etc? These dates are automatically updated from manual date change inputs on on the state/territory based worksheets (column L). The only manual date change required in the Directory in Update history tab is to cell D19 (PI codes), update this if required.
At the moment there are now just 2 different areas for contributors to update ‘the date’ whenever they make a change to any of the worksheets. These are:
- Any RDS change to a station within a radio market, also updating the ‘LAST UPDATE’ date within the state/territory worksheet tabs. Column L
- NEW; Only the PI code date (cell D19) within the ‘Directory’ table on the ‘Update history’ worksheet, if updating the following worksheet; ‘9 - PI Codes [Sorted]’, the other dates on the; ‘Update history’ worksheet now automatically update.
Here’s a pic (old pic) of the changes I performed.
Looks good! I’m not hugely protective over how it looks and functions, so any constructive changes are embraced by me.
I can offer a couple of additions for the sheet from my recent Darwin trip:
97.7 has RDS with a station name ‘97.7 FM’, although it would appear they had a PI code issue as it didn’t show on some receivers. Also had standard radio text (I think non dynamic)
Triple J and ABC Classic have RDS, but News Radio and ABC Darwin do not. Classic has the godawful ‘ABC’ ‘Classic’ ‘FM’ text rotating in the station name, just like Melbourne. Triple J is just the standard ‘triple j’. Both appeared to have artist and title in the radio text.
Any RDS on Territory FM?
Yes, ‘104ONE’ as per the list. The radio text was even detailed enough to name the individual sponsor for each ad that aired, as well as the songs.
Slightly off topic, but it was clearly the most interesting of the stations available in the northern capital too. A good interesting mix of music from the bit that I was able to listen to.
Yeah, I enjoy Territory FM. Laid back presentation and a good rock skewed music mix. Hard to believe they can get away with such a commercial sound, though.
From memory there’s at least one or two other community broadcasters with RDS doing this. The sponsors must love ‘the extra’ advertising …I mean sponsorship awareness via RDS.
I was thinking this a year or two ago when I last listened & again now. Programming hardly fits the usual community radio model(s) (of the times I’ve listened), although that differs between regional & high powered urban models we see in the larger cities. Sounds very commercial. Obviously it’s not bothering Grant broadcasters, if I’m to make an unenlightened assumption.
