Radio Data System (RDS)

Omnia 6 does a alright job but it’s time for a upgrade, 4BU needs new audio processing aswell. What ever happened to the old 9100 that was there, the CRL on now is just not cutting it.

Triple M Country 91.5 - station name alternates… Rare to decode for me due to co-channelling from two other stations.

They don’t feed a stereo signal to their FM translators? Or is this DX/fringe reception?

Very deep fringe!
I’m up near Newcastle.

I think 91.7 and 102.9 have stereo pilots.
Doesn’t seem like 106.7 does, I usually get stereo when I get RDS.

99.9 4TAB Rocky has had RDS for quite awhile.

99.9 SWR FM appears to have lost its RDS. Some kind of equipment failure?

Ahead of the change for 93.1 Bundaberg …

Yeah. Me… it had switched to a backup path that I’d pre-configured last night.

Have Triple M made any changes to their audio processing now they are playing different types of music?

No. We use the same processing on both streams

I wonder if NEWFM has had a name change and didn’t tell its friendly competitors?

Here’s a question for you - are you able to get both the station and song info on the display in your Audi?

I bought one a couple of weeks ago and I can only see the song/artist info by going through the Functions menu to the radio text.

Is that station name being picked up off 105.3? :astonished:

New FM has RDS?
