And all seems to have reverted to normal for both stations tonight
I had a brief listen today and thought there was an opportunity to better align the RDS and on air ID.. as they now seem to IDing as “Today One Oh Four One” so a PS of 2DAY1041 would have fitted nicely.
For those wanting to know about 3HOT/t Robinvale, it is ‘HotFM’ with PI Code 3907.
The main Hot FM on 106.7 is ‘Hot 106.7’ .
Thanks for that. Good info to have for dxers.
Are there any ‘spaces’ before the ‘HotFM’ characters with the RDS PS?
Did you observe or record the PTY or any RT?
Unless some RDS data has recently changed for any of the 90.7 HOT FM relays, the
three 90.7 transmitters might now actually be distinguishable from each other.
90.7 Ouyen with PS as: Hot90.7 (unknown PI or PTY)
90.7 Robinvale with PS as: HotFM, PI: 3907 (unknown PTY)
90.7 Wentworthville with PS as: Hot106.7, PI: 3067, PTY: Easy Listening [12]
Sorry, didn’t take note of that and I won’t be returning that way. I was concentrating on the DX signals rather than the locals- I’m the DX Nerd after all
Robinvale is a nice little excursion from Mildura so perhaps our Sunraysian rover could record it.
Presumably fed off-air from 106.7.
Agree, in my experience, the RDS data on any relay rarely changes from the main TX except for the AF info (if implemented).
Awesome! Thank you.
One suggestion, if I may, re display of more nerishly interesting RDS info on the TEF is to
hold down the bottom button for 2 seconds to display existing RDS plus
AF, RT+ & PTYN etc
100.3 BAY FM Brisbane have changed their PI code back to 1003 from 4064.
Not seen with that PI code since March 2024.
Why? A redundant/standby RDS Encoder?
Looks like RDS on ABC Classic in Canberra has been fixed?
Picked it up on my TEF in Sydney:
Also, the PS now matches ABC Classic from the Illawarra with “ABC_Clas” instead of the dynamic PS used previously.
I’m just amazed it took them this long to fix!
They must have upped the injection level as well as it could barely decode in Bungendore before. Will check it later.
Yes, I had a lot of trouble with it too when I was down in Canberra in May… taken in the CBD in my hotel room, even with a signal strength of 76 dbuv, barely anything
I’d be interested to know if it still has program/song info in the RT field too.
Thanks, interesting that it’s the same PS and RT as Wollongong, but different PI code…
Reverted to 4064 now.
It was chopping and changing yesterday. On its current form the PS is “Bay FM” (lower-case) but on the alternative its all caps “BAY FM”. Saw it as both throughout the day.
