Radio Data System (RDS)

They’re not the first to do that by any stretch of the imagination, I’ve heard both Brisbane and Melbourne MMM IDs on Triple M Sydney, and similarly a Gold 104.3 one on 101.7…

100.9 Connect FM (Sydney) appear to now have their song title & artist RDS RT working well.

Now restored.

And in other news 102.9 Hot Tomato, Gold Coast have lost their RDS PS :astonished:

Yep, cooked! On the Gold Coast now

Its because they are upgrading from a Home Brew solution (from the Grant Broadcasters Days) to a new commercial solution. Should be fixed by the end of the week…

Has Triple J Gold Coast always had AF pointing to Triple M?

Not since day 1, but for some time now. I’d have to go looking through archives for anything slightly more accurate.

Has anybody noticed MMM 92.9 Perth’s RDS is nearly always broken stuck on the same song?

Seems to happen every few days laterly
pretty embarrassing considering its forward customer facing

I was over there a few weeks ago and it was stuck on Don’t Look Back In Anger for nearly a week. Only finally got resolved just before I left.

So yes, seems to be a problem.

Great news! I’ll be passing through Taree on Tuesday on the way back home from the Gold Coast so will get some pics and check for changes.

Will also look out for any more North Coast RDS changes, would like to think Cruze FM has activated RDS, but that’s probably wishful thinking!

No RDS as of today for 93.5.

No changes to 2RE - same as what they had when it was on before.

The Amazing Race is in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was interesting to see what was on the car audio screens.

The RDS for BNR Horizont kept switching..

I’m surprised they weren’t streaming something.

HIT FM 95.7 Bunbury 6957 RDS reactivated after nearly 12 months. looks like they have finally got the studios sorted after the fire last year. Aust RDS Database has been updated

It’s lucky Bunbury is used to Waiting Awhile for things, including a plurality of stations on FM in the first instance.

Thanks for that. :+1:
This might just be the first stage of RDS reactivation as RT msg static at the moment.
RT: Your Number 1 HIT Music Station
PS now: Hit FM
No PTYN, No CT, DI=5

Strange that the RDS says Hit FM, normally it would say Hit95.7 (similar to how the other stations are named on the RDS, like Hit99.5 or Hit91.9), that certainly makes Bunbury stand out.
