A bug in ABC Classic Adelaide’s RDS RT?
Thanks for bringing this to my attention I have gave the BAI Sydney Team leader a heads up about it, and sent him @Radiohead photo
Encoding error when it takes the data from DAB and converts it for use on the FM side
The RT Text= you see is part of the encoding programming that sometimes makes its way through to the actual RDS text from time to time
Have noticed Nova Brisbane has swapped their PI around again
RDS is finally back on 2HD FM Belmont North!
Only took 15 months… still not on 97.5 Port Stephens though.
Thanks @Rob2144 for posting this,
Now been fixed
If anyone sees anything like this or encounters transmission issues with ABC or SCA stations particularly within the Wide Bay/SE QLD(Coast and inland) or Northern NSW feel free to send me an inbox or tag me in your post and i will look at getting it resolved.
Driving through Ouyen a couple days ago, I can confirm that relay of HotFM 106.7 has RDS. Seems to be the same as the main station, with the program text being identical. Couldn’t get the PI code as the new car doesn’t show that.
Might need an excuse to go out to Wentworth and see if that one has RDS, since my current setup at home can’t seem to get it.
PS of Hot106.7 or Hot90.7?
Should have taken a picture. But the PS was Hot90.7 reflecting the frequency
What we know is:
Mildura 106.7 has PS of: Hot106.7, RT: Your home for local Sport 106.7 HOTFM
& PTY of: ‘Easy Listening’ & PI: 3067
An unknown HOTFM relay (one of their 3 known) on 90.7 received via Es dx has a PS of: Hot90.7_
It has RT, PTY of: ‘Easy Listening’ & PI: 3907
And from your visit to Ouyen that there is RDS on 90.7MHz with PS of: Hot90.7_
No. None do. PI code is just for the radio station’s engineer/tech usage when programming
the RDS Encoder.
I often try for RDS on 90.7 on your webserver when tropo about, but the signal never lifts much. I assume its Wentworth signal we hear.
RDS on 101FM Logan seems to have been out of action for several days now.
Nova in Perth have changed their PS display.
Now: NOVA937_
Ex: Nova 937
969? Bit awkward that
Oops my major typo sorry.
Thanks. I have now corrected.
My caffeine levels sunk a bit low.
The other day I was scanning past Nova 96.9 Sydney and the ID on air was ‘Nova 100 across Melbourne’ or something similar to that.
