I agree that hardly anyone is watching 7 from about 7:30 onwards, but they have the majority of the eyeballs in most other times of the day. MKR is not floundering because people do not know its on - its that people know, and no longer care (and 7 dug their head in the sand between seasons 6-8 of MKR where changes could have kept it going longer and instead waited until season 11 which was never going to work as the ship had sailed by then).
And shows after MKR are now suffering
The show has started in Melbourne and there’s been not much reaction on Twitter so far. The coronavirus outbreak and Women’s T20 World Cup between Australia and Bangladesh are trending in the top three.
Pretty entertaining so far, Rebel is a hoot !
Early prediction: There’ll be more viewers of next week’s inevitable Gogglebox review of Pooch Perfect than tonight’s airing of the episode on Seven.
Yet another truckload of money from Seven will arrive at your house momentarily…
Sorry couldn’t resist!
Don’t worry the jokes would’ve gone over the kids heads. Rebel was cute when she comforted the guy who was upset about his partner.
So many cute puppies!
Currently trending No 5 on Twitter with Gogglebox No3
So… overall… a good show or an average one? Was the 90 minutes justified?
Was pretty good. Easy family viewing for a Thursday night. Didn’t seem to drag at all.
Nice family friendly fun on a Thursday night
I haven’t watched it yet. Will try and catch up this weekend. Lots of positive reviews from people I know who have watched
I’m sorry but this show is terrible. And rebel looks like she is about to fall asleep.
I’m sorry you watched it.
Didn’t seem to go over well with Goggleboxers. There seemed to be initial enthusiasm but by the end of the show, not so much.
Pooch Perfect’s ratings success didn’t last long. Down 180k to episode two. There was very little social comment on the show last night and what there was included a lot of negative comment. In 25-54 demo the show ranked below RBT and Modern Family episode 1.
There will be a British version of Pooch Perfect, hosted by BAFTA-winning actress (and dog owner) Sheridan Smith.

I think this will sell around the world
Ive not seen the show. But I feel it’s lack of success also had to do somewhat with
-
the poop factor that is 7 right now. The network stinks and viewers sense that. MKR, countless failed dating shows - it feels like it’s it’s reality on 7 stay away
-
the 7.30 Thursday time slot Feels decidedly un-premium
A year ago on Sundays this should would be doing double it’s audience
It just needed to be shorter
Seven having an original format like Pooch Perfect being picked up by the BBC is a prime example of why it would be an idiotic decision to sell Seven Studios
