According to advance schedule released this morning, 7flix will simulcast Telethon nationally all day Sunday on October 19, except when 7news is on in Perth at 6pm local time, 7flix will show a repeat episode of Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly.

Ryan Daniels will host the opening and closing shows replacing Basil Zempilas with Basil taking over from veteran Jeff Newman back in 2010 until last year

Basil appears on Sunrise occasionally on Thursdays and will still appear on the appeal this weekend on behalf of the WA Liberal Party. Mark Readings would’ve been a better option for next main presenter as he is MC at certain sports events around WA.

This Perth Telethon is fast overtaking the Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal as the Biggest and best Telethon in Australia. The Perth Telethon goes all night but the Victorian Appeal only goes to Midnight why?

I think the Perth telethon has overtaken the Good Friday Appeal many years ago.

Interesting that the four opening acts were all former Australian Idol contestants.
Thats all they get now. Sadly the years of the likes of Michael Jackson, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston are long gone.
No sign of Rick or Sue just yet is unusual.
