I would imagine having two game shows (and a current affairs show) now in production with half the audience wasn’t the plan.

In hindsight they could have easily kept The Project on air by reducing costs and renegotiating contracts etc.

Another online platform bought by CBS in the 2000s has left Paramount, following the likes of CNET and Noggin.

One place for every form of premium video advertising.

The media landscape has never been more fragmented. But Australian audiences are not fragmenting with it. They are leaning into the shows, the sport and the cultural moments that bring them together. The attention is real. The audiences are there.

For brands, the question is where to show up and how to make it count.

Paramount is the only network in Australia with one way in to every form of premium video advertising. Linear TV, BVOD, SVOD and FAST. One team. Every screen. No gaps.

The back half of 2026 is where some of the biggest content moments of the year live. Paramount is in market now with its H2 story, taking brands and agencies through what’s coming on 10, 10 Streaming and Paramount+, how Paramount Connect makes it easier than ever to trade across the full ecosystem, and how a converged team is set up to deliver across all of it.

In a market full of noise, this is your way in.

One way in…no way out?

There’s still one way out! :winking_face_with_tongue:

Network 10 Launches Streaming Channels On VIDAA In Australia.

Network 10 today announced a strategic partnership with VIDAA, the global smart TV platform company to bring a selection of its streaming linear channels to new VIDAA-powered Smart TVs from leading partners including Hisense and Toshiba across Australia.

With the launch of these channels, Australian viewers will be able to stream live content from 10, 10 Drama, 10 Comedy, and Nickelodeon directly on VIDAA-powered TV, without the need for a terrestrial aerial connection.

The integration delivers seamless access to trusted free-to-air broadcast brands through streaming technology, simplifying how audiences access live television.

Lachlan Roach, VP Partner Management & Business Development Paramount Australia, said: “We are pleased to be partnering with VIDAA to integrate our 10 linear channels via IP into the VIDAA channels environment, giving audiences greater and easier access to live and scheduled broadcast through their connected TV experience.

“This collaboration further cements our broader strategy to scale our linear distribution via IP across multiple platforms, delivering strong commercial outcomes and added value across our assets.

Australia is one of the world’s most advanced connected TV markets, and VIDAA is the leading Smart TV platform in the country, powering millions of TVs in Australian homes.

The partnership ensures that Network 10’s live streaming channels are accessible at scale through a streamlined, content-first interface designed around ease of discovery and lean-back viewing.

“The way users in Australia watch live television is evolving rapidly,” said Guy Edri, CEO of V.

“By bringing Network 10’s streaming channels to VIDAA, we’re combining the strength of trusted broadcast brands with the simplicity of the connected TV experience. Our focus is always on quality content and effortless access, making it easier for viewers to find and enjoy what they love.”

The launch reflects the broader shift toward integrated TV experiences that blend live streaming channels with on-demand services within a unified Smart TV environment.

Rather than requiring additional hardware or setup, VIDAA enables viewers to move naturally between live programming and streaming apps, all within the same intuitive interface.

“As the leading platform in Australia, our responsibility is to ensure premium local content is both visible and easily accessible,” Edri added. “This partnership is another step in reinforcing VIDAA as the home of high-quality entertainment in the region.”

As first reported by entertainment guru Peter Ford, the network is holding weaving sessions on Thursday as part of NAIDOC Week.

There’s no doubt NAIDOC Week is worth celebrating, but surely staff should be more focused on using their time to draw audiences to the troubled network.

What an absolute pathetic argument.

It is absolutely normal for businesses to have their staff have workshops for team building and morale - a break from the norm is just as important in terms of team building and getting success than anything one extra day in the office would achieve banging your head up against the wall.

To be seriously banging on about ‘woke’, when if you look at the demographics that advertisers want and the people you want to attract to your platform. Chuds aren’t going to bring you the cash.

Like corporations doing this is absolutely up to them and if they want to do it, good for them. Paramount and everyone else should all have the opportunity to do so. The fact that so many people get butt-hurt and offended by NAIDOC and Reconciliation is just bizarre. Like it doesn’t affect or hurt anyone, nor has it torn skin off anyone’s benefits so why all the fuss about being a part of it?

They can do both - celebrate NAIDOC week and try to get people to watch their network.

A major streaming-linked network is running the ruler over the struggling Network Ten, with US insiders admitting to ChannelNews that owner Paramount Skydance is open to a sale of the free to air broadcaster as the Company moves to slash costs globally ahead of its proposed merger with Warner Bros Discovery.

If a merger with a streaming network is successful, the move would hand the streaming network the ability to bid for both free to air and streamed sports rights in Australia.

An alternative option under discussion is that the two parties strike an agreement to operate together in bidding for sports rights.

Honestly, that could be a good outcome. Better than Paramount absolutely gutting the place.

And if the new entity gets to retain the sporting rights (eg: A-League) then even better.

Whoever buys 10 from Paramount Skydance has a lot of work to do to refresh the struggling network.

So, Channel 10 would potentially be sold off, but Warner Bros. Paramount would still retain the rights agreements currently held by them meaning competitions like the A-Leagues would move with them if they end up acquiring Southern Cross Media or Nine?

What does that actually mean? Is it Prime, Netflix, etc? If it is, anyone would be better owners than the curent Paramount Skydance.
