The FCC statement is bizarre. Just focuses on alleged bias and no DEI. These people are fucked in the head.
Just feeding the ego of the Mutant Orange. That’s all the FCC is doing.
Paramount and Skydance have confirmed that their long-gestating merger is expected to finally close on August 7.
Along with the date, the companies said the new company will trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol PSKY. Paramount had traded under PARA.
The Company is expected to be structured into three primary business segments: 1) Studios; 2) Direct-to-Consumer (DTC); and 3) TV Media
TV Media will no doubt be sold off in a couple of years. After the Trump supporters have neutered CBS News…
I can’t imagine they would want to keep Ten.
The appointment gives MacLennan oversight of a portfolio spanning Paramount’s powerhouse distribution arm (currently known as Paramount Global Content Distribution) and international assets such 5 in the UK and Network 10 in Australia.
The newly combined company is officially known as “Paramount, A Skydance Corporation,” according to a press release. Its stock will begin trading Thursday on the Nasdaq, under the ticker symbol PSKY.
Let’s see how much patience this guy has for Beverley.
Can they at least piss off the Skydance bit?
Paramount carries much more prestige and history.
I can understand on the Paramount logo as it’s the coporate site, but for Paramount+ it seems excessive - No changes locally, yet.
Here’s what it i looks like on a desktop:
Well how else are you supposed to let the average person know which multibillionaire owns the content they consume?
Common language will likely still just call the company “Paramount”.
For the logo, it’s not dissimilar to when it once read “Paramount: A Viacom Company”
Apparently they have attached the Skydance name to the divisions e.g. Paramount Skydance TV Media is the division 10 is under. I know they’re doing business as Paramount, but really, Skydance sounds stupid and unnecessary. Just dump the Skydance name.
A Gulf+Western Company?
That’s taking people back.
Gulf and Western became Paramount Communications and so it goes…
