In a landmark collaboration, Paramount, a Skydance Corporation, a global leader in film production and distribution, has signed a film deal with Activision, the powerhouse behind the record-setting Call of Duty® series.
More staff changes at 10 following Skydance takeover
Following the recent takeover of its parent company Paramount by Skydance, Network 10’s head of corporate communications Bronwyn Fardon has left the company.
Fardon confirmed in a note to Mumbrella her final day at the network was on Friday, September 5.
Last week, (Beverley) McGarvey spoke to Mumbrella about the new company structure, while in Canberra as part of Free TV’s lobbying campaign.
She confirmed that she now reports directly to Kevin MacLellan, Paramount’s international and global content distribution president. MacLellan was NBCUniversal’s global distribution and international media chairman before the takeover and reshuffle.
Paramount, Warner Bros. Discovery: A Skydance Corporation. - has a nice ring to it. /s
It’s a weird one. Both companies have/are having a rocky last decade. Bringing them together doesn’t really give confidence of a long term plan.
Well, it’s happening… again.
Add Versant in there, and you’ll have MSNBCNNBCBS News 24/7 /s
ParaSky + WBD (even just the cable TV business) would be an even heavier anvil into the sea.
Paramount Ten and Nine are pursuing a consolidated advertising sales operation in which Nine would take on the third-ranked broadcaster’s free-to-air and digital ad revenue functions. But the ominous reality of global platform scale at Google, Meta, Amazon and TikTok eating local media advertising marketshare has spawned a bigger proposal, first floated and discussed by broadcasters late last year, in which the three commercial TV networks would consolidate their ad sales operations into a joint venture company.
Ten is also understood to have held talks with Foxtel Media and News Corp about an advertising alliance but demands for a revenue guarantee from the Paramount-owned broadcaster, itself with new ownership under Skydance’s David Ellison, son of Oracle founder Larry Ellison, is said to have killed ongoing conversations.
These people chop and change like no tomorrow. They were in an arrangement with foxtel media then the CBS takeover happened then they re-established their own sales internally and now they trying to outsource to Nine.
Clearly lots of cost savings but Jeeze you’d hate to work in 10’s sales team.

Thanks to this forward-thinking partnership and the deep strategic alignment, both organisations are poised to lead the way in shaping the future of digital content distribution and device integrations.
That should mean Mildura and Sunraysia residents will be able to watch 10’s channels again, this time via their LG TV, without resorting to VAST equipment, provided their internet connection is decent.
They could still watch via the 10 app.
I wish these types of linear feeds were available for all smart TV OSes. Hopefully the other networks/manufacturers follow with LG/10
Is this exclusive to LGTV or other ones such as Samsung TV+
A lot of the feeds underlyingly are just m3u8 files without any restrictions so they can be used on any TV as long as you know the URL.
On LG for now.
