No Deal!!

Sorry…just getting some practice in.

Well, as I am winning Powerball next week, I’ll throw some money at Ten, I’ll still have $199m to play with for other things. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

i do wonder how well MediaSpy would be at running 10 lol

@Sifon is already penning his pitch of returning The Simpsons to 6pm

As long as it’s the classic Seasons, I’m down :raised_hands:

Last time I checked Media Spy was a forum where we could post our views on media topics! I get the 10 #BJT2 quote but maybe #oz1235 could explain the 3mp one? I’ve been called out on here before but mostly in an adult manner and not by smart ars*d one liners. So if you want to call me out or attack me come up with something more intelligent please. :slightly_smiling_face:

FYI I don’t “love” any media outlet, of the commercial outlets I prefer 10 for reasons I’ve gone into in the past. They have managed in spite of bad management/ownership for many years (including at present) to be more innovative than the other two. I can go way back to Number 96 where they presented Australia’s first openly gay character on Aussie screens. I like others on here don’t hold out much hope for DOND, they could have come up with something better IMO. Not a fan of Grant Denyer and I understand the criticism he gets but if 10 had done Tipping Point with an ex-tennis player/commentator there would have been hundreds of posts of criticism!

I also prefer 10 because I mainly only watch reality shows on commercial FTA these days and IMO again 10 shows a little more innovation than the others. The Traitors and Hunted are two examples of trying something new in the past couple of years even if they weren’t successful mainly because they were on 10. The three new reality shows starting tomorrow night will again probably have the best one running third. There is enough angst and toxicity in our world without watching more on MAFS and Idol is a shadow of the program that used to be on 10 where a number of careers in the music industry began. But in all probability Survivor IMO the best of the three will be third in the ratings.

I apologise to other posters and mods for “my rave” and that it’s on the Paramount+ thread but they do after all own 10.

The reported m.o. for Allen would be to sell the Paramount film studio, real estate and IP. He would keep the linear networks, plus Paramount+ and operate the streamer more efficiently (Good luck with that).

This is also the guy who offered Disney $10b for ABC and who is already it talks to buy BET from Paramount.

B&T has possibly taken a peek behind the paywall to offer some non-paywall analysis

Not much analysis there, more of the same reporting that we’ve seen in recent days and weeks.

Tom Elliott has a “funny feeling” that a media company that is in direct competition to his own employer is going to go down. ffs, this is the genius they got to replace Neil Mitchell? I’m not giving them the satisfaction of listening to his sound bite, but I would expect he told his listeners his conflict of interest in his “funny feeling”.

I would never have normally defended Neil Mitchell but he had a bit more journalistic sense than this dill. The term “shock jock” is too good for Elliott.
