Netflix isnât even #1 in Australia and itâs going to slide further if they keep releasing awful cheap American algorithmic sludge. Their tent pole premium drama is non existent nowadays.
Only because they got there first! Itâs amazing how big the first mover advantage is. I agree with @Snoozenooze, Netflix really do seem to have lost their way. I reckon Disney will end up on top. Maybe theyâll buy out Netflix.
Anyone pretending to know whatâs going to happen is a fool. All of these companies are losing money on streaming right now, there are going to be so many changes, mergers, and restructures in the next few years. God knows what will survive.
Donât forget though Alot of the major companies arenât just involved in streaming. Yes, they may lose money on it currently but they will sort it out.
My money is on P+ and Peacock brands disappearing in the next few years.
Not every media conglomerate will have a DTC streaming service Comcast NBC Universal is a great example with peacock getting sold off shut down or merged
