This should be good.

Jim Gianopulos, president of Paramount now on stage. Talks about his own relationship with Paramount as a kid. Mentions the films that will be on P+, including Paramount and Miramax. How much of it gets onto P+ Australia will be interesting.

EPIX deal on P+ (has Lionsgate and MGM), featuring James Bond, Hunger Games franchises mentioned. Theatrical release still first and foremost, but will go straight from cinemas to P+. Trailer for A Quiet Place Part II plays. Mentions upcoming slates including M:I7 and MGM movies to go to P+. Sounds like they’re going to rely a lot on existing franchises.

Nicole Clemens, head of PTS, now on screen. The Godfather-based The Offer limited series to premiere on P+. Series based on Star Trek, Grease, Love Story and other IP to come.

Juile McNamara, EVP of development, now on screen. Discussing originals, throws it to Taylor Sheridan discussing the creative process behind Land Man and Mayor of Kingstown, amongst others. Also discusses the crime procedurals P+ will have, with a focus on Criminal Minds. New anthology series called American Tragedy. Trailer for Younger’s final series.

and as @littlegezzybear mentioned, Fraiser is back.

Still no mention of Ten, in case you haven’t worked it out. :stuck_out_tongue: Also some blank screens.

Paramount+ will look like this:

It doesn’t look any different to the current CBS All Access. They’v updated the user interface in recent months so I assumed the’d just rebadge everything with the Paramount+ logo.

Then again, that story may have just used the existing interface.

David Nevens from Showtime now on, to discuss Halo series. Supposed to show a sneak peek but goes to a holding screen. Do they know I’m from Australia and not meant to see it?

Juile is back discussing original IPs. Finally, something not related to existing IP!

Chris McCarthy for MTV now on. He’s discussing comedy series. 6000+ episodes of comedy series on P+, mentions late night, leading to Trevor. Trevor Noah appears for the first time outside of his apartment, and going on about a “Trevor+”, before leading into talk of a new weekly show.

Proof that this is pre-recorded with the skit on Trevor’s karate skills and some rendering issues.

Next, BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD! They’re to make a new movie! He said mount! :stuck_out_tongue:

MTV - Yo MTV Wraps, Behind the Music and Unplugged to return.
The Real World to also return, with the original cast to reunite.

Reality up next, with existing IP mentioned, and new series coming, including Queen of the Universe.

This would only be applicable to the US. Younger is on Stan in Australia.

Who would’ve thought The Brady Bunch would still be a selling point in 2021?

And in Australia will be a shittier version and offering no doubt.

Brian Robbins up now from Nick. Looks like there’s a reboot of Rugrats. Discusses how Nick has resonated for over 25 years (read: wank) with kids and “nostalgic adults”. 7000+ episodes of Nick content to try and get parents to stick with P+. If this isn’t a sign they’re taking on Disney+ directly, you must be deaf and blind.

Avatar Studios to be formed to expand the universe. Spongebob mentioned, and how it is ubiquitous across everywhere. Preview of Kamp Koral, which looks good. Rugrats is also back, and they’ve kept the style and voice case, albeit it in CGI. And that looks good as well.

iCarly is back, and the cast is older. Why bring it back? Dora and Fairly Odd Parents live-action coming, as well as kid-focused Star Trek series.

Scott Mills from BET to discuss their plans. Apparently black viewers are heavy viewers of TV. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: Discusses BETs library and upcoming releases. There is also a standalone BET Plus service - how long before it gets absorbed into P+? Tyler Perry discussed and he’s brought on to discuss his ongoing contribution.

Scott discusses how BET+, P+ and Showtime complement each other. Again, why do we need three?

David Nevens is back to talk Showtime’s offerings. Again, the three lane approach is mentioned - free (PlutoTV), broad pay TV (P+) and premium (Showtime) - very similar to what we have now.

A series based on the American First Lady is discussed. Yellow Jackets, a Alive-esque drama is also discussed, but we won’t see it - back to holding screen.

Also, just noticed this:

Could VIAC just not renew deals as they come up for expiry?

A look at Showtime doco films also comes up - again, we won’t see it, as I think it’s just for internal consumption.

The Curse with Emma Stone looks pretty good. Billions is also coming back in 2021. Don’t know the Apple-esque “One more thing” - back to holding screen.

I read about this on the net the other day. Michelle Pfeiffer will play Betty Ford, Viola Davis will portray Michelle Obama and Gillian Anderson will star as Eleanor Roosevelt.

Tom Ryan is back to discuss PlutoTV. He discusses how PlutoTV has been integrated amongst millions of devices. Already in 25 countries, and plans are to be announced for expansion. MLB channel to be added. Spanish channels to be relaunched. Discusses the human curation factor.

Introduces the “Super Funnel” effect - how Pluto TV leads to P+ and Premium Services. Example - watch a Showtime show, subscribe straight away. A P+ Picks channel is set to be launched eventually.

US P+ to have two tiers - a base ad supported tier in June launching for $4.99, premium tier with more content for $9.99. Bundles with Showtime and BET to be added, and they can hook it into P+. Tom discusses as the ecosystem

Not yet. Nothing on Ten.

We think it’s CCTV’ed as well.

so will be getting any of whats been showing so far here in australia??

So was that Dexter when they just cut to the holding screen? This is annoying not being able to see the new content previews. Can’t even see it with VPN so it must only be being released to stakeholders.

What’s the strategy for Australia I wonder. Ten is last in broadcast and free streamer 10Play lags behind free competitors 9Now and 7+.

You get the feeling out of this presentation broadcast TV is going to be severely neglected and only used to drive people to paid streaming services.
