I don’t agree I actually liked it at the time,my coworker back then always listened to Nova
What about Modern Woman as heard on the Billy Bob show on Braidwood FM.
Beat me to it! XL/GN (Forever Classic) play a lot of Billy Joel; ‘Say Goodbye To Hollywood’ is another one they love.
I happened to hear “She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5 on 2NUR FM Newcastle this morning of all stations. This song has been flogged to death so many times on HIT Metros and MMM Regionals and HOT AC stations for the past twenty years or so.
I don’t mind “Sugar” or “Harder To Breathe” but yeah, but most of their other hits don’t do it for me.
I agree there , I got sick of that song too
I listened on the Mix 94.5 FM and they played the Groove is in the Heart by Deee- Lite. The song has been flogged to death during a Big Bash League match at various stadiums.
Riptide - Vance Joy
I’ve never been a fan of it. It was absolutely everywhere when it came out, and is still unavoidable because basically every station plays it.
Yes I never really understood the appeal of that one either
Agree, yet there are much better newer songs out there that don’t get much airplay.
Like for instance, Triple M played Lime Cordiale’s new song “Cold Treatment” last night, which I think is much better than pretty much anything Vance Joy has ever done, yet I doubt it will ever be anywhere near as popular.
I wasn’t a big fan of this song either.
It’s typical of most ‘indie folk’ stuff that tries too hard to imitate Bob Dylan and Tom Waits. It’s not melodic at all so not really my cup of tea.
But maybe I don’t like it because I’m not afraid of dentists and the dark.
Straight Lines - Silverchair in Triple M’s play it safe Aussie Countdown. There are other songs of theirs they could have picked.
Another song I am constantly sick of hearing that I heard at Woolworths in Greenhills East Maitland is Bernard Fanning’s “Wish You Well” which has been flogged to death by Triple M and Mainstream Radio for nearly twenty years now.
Absolutely!
Clearly they never heard the warning bell…out of MediaSpy that is.
This one feels quite appropriate for this thread…
This song is in Nova’s playlist, so it gets quite a heap of airtime on their stations, but it’s actually Geelong who’s had to put up with hearing this song over and over again when tuning in to 95.5 FM. As of 3rd October 2024, this song has had 21 spins on K-Rock. The same thing happened with those tuning into CADA on 96.1 FM in Katoomba (and DAB+ everywhere else) and 15 spins on Triple J.

I’m not linking the music video here because honestly it looks like more of an NSFW video than that of a music video.
Their worst song ever,it’s just plain boring
Most U2 songs except for, ‘Mysterious Ways ‘ and ‘Elevator’
I didn’t know Bono’s daughter is an actress,I saw her in a Netflix series I’ve just watched,Eve Hewson
Agree, U2 are usually a station changer for me, except “New Year’s Day”.
