I get that but they’re not going to axe the show midway through the year like what 2day fm have done in the past.
It depends on what their plans are. They can be signed up to a contract that gives Nova the flexibility to drop them.
When Rosso quit all those years ago, it was speculated at the time that money and contract negotiations were the cause. Rosso wanted Merrick to show a united front with him in negotiations but that didn’t happen. So Rosso walked away but Merrick signed up and was teamed up with Dools. But then that team failed.
Team failed with Ricki, who is allegedly about to come back to Sydney Breakfast..

Ricki-Lee was brought in later. Kate had also been brought in towards the end of Merrick and Rosso.

Have the breakfast shows been going until 9.15am as per the schedule?
I know they are promoting Jodie and Haysey as going through to 10am now.

Lauren Phillips and Clint Stanaway have been presenting Nova 100 breakfast on Thursday and Friday this week, with Jase Hawkins absent on both days.

It always appeared strange that Nova was the only radio station that appeared to be affected by this issue.
Listening to Mel Tracina on Radio Game Changers this morning, Nova on Monday should be working out how and where they can put the Mel & Matty show next year before someone else swoops in. By the sounds of it she wants a show.
