aaaaaaand that just made me age, even tho i’m only 24 lmao
I listened to a bit of Jase and Lauren on my drive to work this morning. Clint is in the studio but he did not read the 8am news. Instead it was Ash Gardner (who is a member of Fitzy and Wippa team) from Sydney. Does it occur often?
Also, Collingwood premiership player Jordan De Goey was a special guest this morning to promote the annual Rialto Run Up, which takes place this Sunday (May 18). It was revealed on air that Jordan’s mum and Clint’s mum were in the same marching band in the late 1970s, and a photo was shown around the studio.

Yes Ash Gardner appears on Fitzy and Wippa, but she is still based in Melbourne and is the journalist/writer of the Melbourne and Sydney bulletins.
Clint did read news when he joined KIIS and Nova
So maybe Clint and Ash share the newsreading duties on Jase and Lauren?
This morning I heard “Close to You” by Gracie Abrams around 6:45am, after which they said it was her “new” single, when in fact that song has been out for nearly twelve months now, and peaked at #34 on the ARIA Singles Chart last June.
Personally, I don’t mind the song, and prefer it over “That’s So True”.

Well, that’s the problem with releasing all the album tracks at once so they can chart on the singles chart. Radio can’t play them all on release.

Jase, Lauren and Clint are broadcasting live from Cairns this morning. They flew up to the city after yesterday’s show to do some work (Postcards perhaps?).

I thought I heard them say it was for a Nova thing, but maybe I made that up. Their executive producer is also up there with them.
They were keynote speakers yesterday at Cairns Crocodiles conference.

Wdym. He’s the core of the show. He’s honest, respectful and very loyal unlike the other one on KIIS.

Nova radio stars Ben Harvey, Liam Stapleton and Belle Jackson are packing their bags and making a full-time move back to Adelaide.
After more than two years in Melbourne, most recently as host of the station’s national Late Drive show, it’s believed the trio will head home within months.The popular presenters will continue hosting the same program from Nova’s Hindmarsh Square studios, with no change expected to the station’s Adelaide line-up.
Their show producer, Ben McDowell, let slip the good news in a LinkedIn post on Friday morning.
“After an amazing run as Executive Producer of Nova’s national Late Drive show … I’ve decided not to relocate with the team as they venture back to Adelaide,” he wrote.

It’s not often a national show on commercial FM radio is hosted from outside Sydney or Melbourne.
I think Belle Jackson is originally from Melbourne, and was happy to be home when the trio moved from Adelaide in early December 2022.
Triple M Adelaide’s rumor mill said they were looking at moving back to Adelaide. The boys seemed to be home bodies and missed Adelaide.
Wait… so it’s not affecting the station’s Adelaide line-up… but will they still be heard nationally? Or only on Nova919 now?
Let’s not forget when James Brayshaw would join Triple M’s The Cage national breakfast show from Adelaide.
Surely there were other national shows from SA before?
