Nova Network

The popular presenters will continue hosting the same program from Nova’s Hindmarsh Square studios, with no change expected to the station’s Adelaide line-up.

They’ll still be doing late drive but hosting it from Adelaide rather than from Melbourne. The Adelaide studios are unused from 9am.

That’s a silly quote. Obviously, what they’re referring to is the time difference in Adelaide.

In other words, BLB will be broadcasting in AEST (Melbourne time), but their own market will have to listen to them on delay.

Eg: If Will & Woody did their show from the 96FM studios, their show too wouldn’t be live into Perth.

IIRC Carrie & Tommy did an OB from one of their national markets, however, had a different recorded show go to the network, whilst they delivered a dedicated live show to that market. Obviously different circumstances to BLB.

The quote implies Ben, Liam & Belle isn’t replacing the existing breakfast show. Nothing to do with timezones or networking.

I feel like this is becoming overly complicated and analysed here.

Ben, Liam and Belle are moving from Melbourne to Adelaide. That’s literally all you need to know. (If that)

There will be no changes to on air scheduling at all. They’re simply broadcasting from somewhere else.

Fitzy has been taking the piss out of their new slogan lately. When Wippa was stressing about something, Fitzy just said: Don’t think. Just NOVA. This made Wippa nervously laugh.

Fitzy used it again sarcastically in the producer’s podcast that they do every Friday.

I’m surprised the on-air talent even know of the campaign.

It seems nothing else at Nova is reflecting the new ad campaign.

They have screens in the studios these days because they video everything for social media. Ive seen the new promos/banners flashed up on the screen during some of their posts on Instagram.

Great discussion on Melbourne Radio Wars today about Nova’s “old” music offering at present - with suggestions their daytime is very vulnerable and needs a personality across Days. They also really like what 2Day is doing with their new music offering.

I guess it’s a ‘switch off your brain, and just listen’ type message.

Speaking of Jase and Lauren… while nothing announced, there’s been some music promos that hint at hide and seek returning soon.

This is becoming more common these days. The song may be old but it is really only being picked up by radio and charting more recently, after Gracie’s hit ‘That’s so True’. This is a bit like Chappel Roan’s ‘Pink Pony Club’, where she had a hit and then this previous single became noticed, played by radio and started charting. Most people would assume Pink Pony Cub was a new song but it is in fact 5 years old.

I have been wondering when this would be back. It generated a lot of hype last year so am surprised that they waited this long. The only difference now is that Nova’s workday shifts I believe are done nationally, so Nova would need to shift back to more local content for the duration of it.

Same goes with Lola Young’s “Messy” which was released in May last year but, as far as I know, only started hitting Australian airwaves towards the end of last year or earlier this year.

Yeah, it was a lot of great buzz. I remember it being around mid-June last year. I remember being overseas on a holiday and following the clues on insta… we literally landed and went searching. Haha I was clearly wrong

Didn’t it go big on Tiktok around then?

I’m not a regular TikToker but do know it went viral around January this year when she was in the country for a run of festivals as well as a sideshow at the Metro Theatre in Sydney (similar to Griff last year, though she didn’t have a viral hit at the time and later returned to Australia for a headline tour in August).

Rosa Linn also went viral on TikTok with her Eurovision hit “SNAP” not very long ago but hasn’t had a successful or notable follow up hit since.

They can’t miss it when they are being brainwashed by the screens around them. Fitzy was taking the piss out of the slogan again on Thursday’s show.
