Such a shame with the latest Nova campaign. Their website reflects/shows nothing about it. Their website style & presentation does not look ‘rebelious’ or anything like a ‘disruptor’ like its ad campaign features.
The same can be said about 2Day1041.
When you launch a new campaign, you launch a new campaign. Not just on-air and a few bus ads. But everywhere.
I was worried he was on a mental health spiral or something of the likes when he wasn’t on air for 2 surveys. Thank god it was just a legal dispute and he’s alright and healthy
I quite like both previous & present Hit Network logos.
The previous H! was more impactful & cheeky. In fact, the previous H! logo would better suit the current 2Day1041 format than the present logo.
The most brilliant thing of the current Hit Network logo, is it also passes (slightly to some) as a form of “M” logo, so it also suits Mix94.5. Sadly, it means nothing to The Fox, SAFM and B105 (but it could pass as a musical wavelength of some kind).
It’s always a challenge to make a ‘letter’ speak for an entire network, when each station has a different name. Mind you, I’d still prefer a ‘H’ logo than blow-up lips for a network.
This is where NovaFM had the best with Novaboy. They really could’ve gotten away with any brand/name.
Triple M could also do the same if they wanted to - just have Dr. Dan beside ANY Triple M network station (e.g. have Dr. Dan beside a Gold92.5 or 2GO logo, etc).
I completely agree, I think this is the only way they can counter the relaunch of 2day to make Nova look cool and edgy again.
with their networking across workdays and weekends they cannot counter individual stations. They cannot compete effectively against KIIS 1065, and if 2day fm smash them in the demographics they are out of options.
They would need to put in a dedicated log for Sydney and dedicated Sydney daytime DJ’s something that hasn’t happened in over a decade.
