Highest share FWK ever had was an 8.9% for Survey 2, 2024.
Highest cumulative audience they ever had was 629,000 for Survey 1, 2024.
For comparison, Jonesy and Amanda’s highest ever share was an 11.5% for Survey 4, 2014 and a cumulative audience of 517,000 for Survey 3, 2024.
Personally, FWK isn’t an essential listen for me. I might flick over once every couple of weeks. However, I can absolutely understand the show’s appeal and strong ratings. Can’t imagine NE wanting to see them go.
Correct … i was talking down the road, giving Mel time to grow her national profile and Mitch time to bed down with Nova and probably grow his profile further. I’m talking 2-5 year timeline.
By that stage, ideally she’d move to Sydney.
I feel Mel will stick to Melbourne. Potentially do Nova100 local only workdays if/when they reintroduce it.
I’d strongly push Mitch to take Smallzy’s spot.
They essentially offer the same thing.

good on nova for getting Mitch but just one show is odd. Also weird placement considering flagship breakfast shows are back tomorow and having him on today as a one off felt weird imo

Listening to the end of Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie this morning.
The show was running way over time and just finished at 9.15am. Kate Ritchie was missing. The reason wasn’t mentioned in the last hour but may have been mentioned earlier.
She wouldn’t work a second over her contracted hours
I’m saying she wasn’t there for the last hour (which was when I listened). I have heard them go past 9am before and that’s not a problem for her.
However, she had been starting up to an hour later at the start. It must have been in her contract to start after 7am. Sometimes she turned up earlier and started earlier.
I will listen to the podcast and see if there was any mention about where she was.
ETA: No sign of Kate on the show today and no mention of her in the bits on the podcast.

I listened from 7am today. Chrissie was a breath of fresh air and they had a lot of fun together.
No mentions of Kate missing but they might have addressed it at the start. This has happened before. Once it was because Kate had been sick and another time it was because Kate had a scheduled longer holday break. It’s odd that they choose not to mention her when they are usually so open but there could be a personal reason which is not easy to mention.
If Kate ever did leave, they could do worse than Chrissie.
But Chrissie left Breakfast radio because dhe didn’t want to do early mornings any more.
Didn’t Sam Pang want to leave and the powers that be decided to end the show?
They did announce Chrissie, Sam & Browny quitting the show together but maybe Sam was the trigger. Sam left Nova completely but Chrissie was announced as the afternoon host at the same time. Browny did Nova podcasts.
Fitzy in SA… Chrissie in VIC… Wippa in NSW.
Sure. At least that’d free-up afternoons for Ben, Liam & Belle to go earlier - and allow Mitch Churi to host early evenings prior to Smallzy.
