Nova Network

Ed’s in the ad too.

It’s all about Ed Sheeran today on Nova with the Red Room from the Sydney Opera House tonight.

That explains every second song played by Fitzy & Wippa being by Ed Sheeran and then promos in between featuring Ed Sheeran music. Don’t know the meaning of too much of a good thing.

That’s just the ender shot.

As @JBar pointed out, Ed was in the ad in an earlier shot.

Fitzy and Wippa are great on Nova but they are being seriously let down by their music playlist.

They have played the same song every second day to kick off the show at 6am Ed Sheeran Shape of You. Just like the movie Ground Hog Day.
Wed 15.02 - 06:05 Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You
Mon 13.02 - 06:06 Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You

They then play two throwback songs in the first hour which get repeated every few weeks, which makes them crack the same jokes over and over again. Caught in a repetitive loop.

The celebs are all very washed out in the ad - production quality sucks IMO.

Unlikely, the Austereo dinosaurs in SCA programming are still looking for a modern day success of the level of Martin & Molloy.

No idea that local drive is a low cost way of holding a big audience, music dominated, local focus.

Surely Carrie and Tommy is being piloted for that spot, and local drive on weekends?

Wrong thread

Is the Saturday afternoon/ evening, Nova network DJ, Jason Sole, the soleman, who was last heard on 2day fm back in the late nighties early to mid 2000?

yep

He use to be by favourite music DJ back at the time. He also had a Friday and Saturday night Dj mix show called Remedy on 2day where he did party mixes.
Suprised after such a long time he is now back on the radio and at Nova and still sounding good.

Has 96.9’s Harlee McLeod and 100.3’s Sarah Maree Cameron left the Network? Don’t know what happened to them!

SMC was made redundant when they began networking from Sydney I believe. Jaben Ryan also left/was pushed out; he’s now on weekends at The Fox.

Did Greg Burns take Harlee’s shift?

Greg Burns Took DC’s morning shift and DC moved into afternoons. So Greg Burns took Harlee’s job at Nova 96.9.

You’re surprised? Soleman is a radio aficionado, lives the art of broadcasting to a degree rarely seen surpassed.

Has a rare quality that he can pick up where he left off even with a gap of many years.

Another great talent not harnessed well by any station.

Totally agree with you, sounds as fresh as he did ten years ago on 2day and well suited to Nova.
Radio DJ’s of his vintage normally end up on WS Fm.

Nova should use him for a dance mix show between 6-10pm Saturday rather then playing the same songs over and over.
I listen to Triple J at 6pm for House Party and then flick back to Nova at 10pm for Nice Hair.
