This sounds like the ultimate prank from people who stayed at that place before you!
Psychopaths lol
Been there for nearly a month now you would think WIN would indicate what’s coming.
I don’t think nothing is, there would have been a sign of something by now
WIN Network sponsorship sign at the National Zoo and Aquarium (they also have outdated Hit 104.7 and Mix 106.3 signs).
Anyone heard any updates about what Channel 84 might be?
The all new never before seen “new channel coming soon” channel that runs 24/7. Such quality content that “new channel coming soom” slide
I expect it to be updated soon with “Yes, there really is a new channel coming soon. Please believe us”.
No point in asking if there are any updates.
I’m sure that once anyone sees a change it will be posted here promptly.
A timeshifted WIN Gold channel maybe
Surprised we have not seen ‘this space for rent’ with the Bermuda HQ phone number on screen on LCN 84?
Don’t give old Brucey ideas
Figured someone might have heard something on the outside I had not heard on the inside lol
still has the “new channel coming soon” slide on CH84, haven’t heard or seen anymore info about what’s meant to be coming out. Most likely will be just a placeholder for however long
Given what’s come out about the TVSN stuff, I’d assume there’s no chance WIN fill the gap, because their ‘scramble’ to fill that space will be part of the damages of the TVSN deal.
Really? Nothing surprises me there.
Being broadcast spectrum is a public asset, the argument to keep spectrum fees going is very strong in my book if broadcasters are able to rent parts of it to 3rd parties. No doubt WIN used the revenue from TVSN to partly pay their spectrum fee obligations hence their ‘scramble’. Only when these 3rd party services vanish or are banned would I entertain spectrum fees being abolished.
That slide came up when MDT ceased transmission In Mildura & that was on June 30 I remember channel 54 took a long time for a channel to appear.
According to a forum post by bizzibee last night: WIN TV might finally be switching its main channel on 8 to MPEG-4.
“Well tonight on WIN during ‘The Block’, there was an announcement that the simulcast of WIN’s main channel on 8 in SD MPEG-2 was ending.” The promotion reportedly contains normal information about the MPEG-4 technology.
WIN has since confirmed this through its website: WIN Network Broadcast Technology Improvement
That’s good.
Now only SCA left (but i doubt that will happen…
