Still got that same slide a week after the New Channel Coming Soon slide came on our TVs.

I can confirm that slide is still on LCN 84, two weeks after the New Channel Coming Soon slide appeared, maybe Nine and/or WIN could do a media release announcing that 9Rush and/or Extra may be coming to WIN? I know that Nine or WIN have not announced the channel yet.

I think if it was something like 9Rush etc the same slide would not have appeared in NNSW where WIN is a 10 affiliate.

Keep checking every day to see if anything has changed, I’m baffled myself why WIN hasn’t announced anything regarding this new channel.

The likelihood of them launching a channel in the middle of a month is very, very low.
Now fhat SCA has snapped up you.tv in all of its markets, there’s no one really chasing FTA coverage.

They’re just waiting until people lose interest and then it can disappear or turn into another shopping channel or some sort of arrangement like SBN. I would stake 50 cents on it not being anything worthwhile like 9Rush or similar unless Nine buys out WIN and they become O&O but I would stake another 50 cents on that one not happening.

True, but the test pattern to signal new channels coming is dead the only time It could be shown is when a totally new licence is launched by a new operator like when DTD went to air.
No guarantee that if NINE were to finally buy out WIN that 9Rush would appear in former WIN markets. NTD and NBN are NINE O&O’s and still do not get 9Rush.

I don’t know what it’s going to be in WIN 9 world, but in Northern NSW it’s Gecko channel same as 10 metro, been on air for a few days now at least, not sure exactly when it started?
I checked the other day and it no longer showed the test card and was audio only

What was the audio on LCN 84? The new channel test card with the WIN map is still there, I have checked the multiplex.

I was just in a pub in Rockhampton that was showing in the main bar… wait for it… WIN Gold!
That made me laugh. Not seen that before, or any datacast/infomercial type channel for that matter.

I remember going on a family holiday to Ulladulla around 2012/2013, and the lounge-room TV was stuck on Gold. We couldn’t find the remote, so that’s all we watched. I remember seeing infomercials being mixed with Gold Presents (rebranded episodes of Nine Presents) and the occasional segment from a WIN-produced show (like Alive and Cooking or Postcards Australia), but one thing that stood out for me was a full-length infomercial for the complete Crawfords DVD library. Has anything changed by now?
