9Life is now on the air in WIN areas, GEM is currently airing in 4:3 for some reason though.

Since there was such heavy promotion I’d be surprised if we didn’t get it today with no apology or reason given. My guess is there’s some other technical things and it will appear later today during business hours sometime this morning.
CSAs, we’re not American :P.

The new Channels are glitching a bit here, guess teething problems…
Had a funny feeling that Tasmania will have to wait , we always do when things like this happen

Maybe they have to send techs from mainland to set it up for them
They think People in tasmania are mushrooms, kept in the dark and feed shit
They never specified that it would be available in Tassie on March 1 , did they ?
NJust turned my TV on here in Townsville now.
Haven’t rescanned, but the TV automatically changed to LCN8 when I turned it on.
I’ve just checked, i’ve currently got:

Some points to Note:
WIN HD is currently 14 seconds behind WIN SD.
9GEM has no watermark and is currently squashed to 4:3
9LIFE has no EPG on my TV.
Not sure of any bitrates, but WIN HD is looking VERY sharp and clear on my TV. WIN SD, 9GO & 9GEM all look about the same level of quality as they’ve always been, 9Life looks great.
WIN’s new MPEG4 channels are stunning compared to how 7flix looks here!
9Life in regional areas is also MPEG 4 isn’t it ? I think I remember reading it was ?
They said everywhere else except for WA they get it next Tuesday due to technical difficulties
They did. These were both capped during WIN News Tasmania.
Yeah, they were promoting it heavily but as it’s still not even business hours on the 1st, there’s still plenty of time before we panic.
Yeah they did…on website and massive promos saying march 1 retune today
Gotta love win tasmania…just seen 2 ads in the last 20 minutes saying you must retune now to get new channels how to retune and the screen showing both new channels…but nothing!!
Just checked the nearly 7 year old 32 inch LG. Haven’t retuned.
Wow, that HD looks the best I have ever seen for picture quality . So sharp and bright and this is on a 768p TV ! The bit at the bottom of the Today Show (banner ) was very sharp but the footage (must be over in the US ) wasn’t HD pretty sure it was SD.
Noticing a few things here in Central QLD
Gem is in 4:3 - Though it might just be the show Antiques Roadshow being an old episode ?
9Life is just called “Life” by the tv
There is no EPG for Life.
