So has the freeview site albeit the wrong LCNs and 9HD instead of WINHD.

Nine’s channels have been showing in every region on the Freeview site for a while now. There’s many other inaccuracies that have gone unchecked, too.

WIN HD showing in place of WIN on the WINTV website when I check for NQ at the moment

WIN isn’t part of Freeview and doesn’t show on their EPGs.

They actually do show WIN in the EPG, just like SBS and Prime7 which also left Freeview. It’s their channel lists which are wrong. They also show 7flix is available in regional areas yet Racing.com only in metro areas. LCN’s are also out of whack in a lot of regional areas.

U have to put in the region that win broadcasts in and it comes up

Do you mean the Electronic PG broadcast by Freeview or the TV guide on the website? In Queensland, WIN doesn’t appear in the EPG, even though SBS does.

I’m talking about the online guide. I didn’t know what about the Freeview. So you can’t actually tune into any WIN-owned channel on your Freeview set-top box, or is just absent in the guide but accessible via channel number?

I have yet to see any message on extra or gold the shopping channel on WIN that they will be moving. Anybody saw any pop up message on extra or gold?

It’s to my understanding that WIN’s channel numbering system after tomorrow will be exactly the same as Nine’s, except using the “8” set of LCNs and with GOLD on 86!

not long to go

I wonder if setting the LCN numbering the same (except with 8 at start instead of 9) as Nine’s is due to the possibility of a future takeover by Nine.

I guess Bruce can call it whatever he likes while he is the owner.

or he must know theres going to be a taker over by 9 so didn’t think it was worth changing the water mark (IDents)

it will change during the night

Freeview devices tune WIN but their channels don’t appear in the Freeview EPG - you can see that 8 is missing on this image.

Probably just for consistency and because it’s a good numbering scheme. Pre-HD, they also had the same numbering scheme as 9 - the only difference being Go was on 88 to get the double number instead of 89 which you’d get from direct translation.
