Would this mean that the simulcasts on 88 (WIN) and 86 (ONE) would be transplanted to 58 and 56 for NNSW? I would think not as those simulcasts were only put there to cover pre-switch 9Go! and the old number for GOLD, but you never know. Can anybody confirm?
And with the ONE and Eleven channels in particular the coloured coverups are still poorly implemented even after all these months they have been in use. The timing to trigger the coverups is still way off with them appearing far too early (or late) depending on the program as the metro PRGs and watermarks do differ slightly from program to program.
I’d rather have the main channel available in HD than 9Life to be perfectly honest. From the limited time I did watch Life when available via WIN, I’m not missing anything without it.
I’d say this is what it came down to. And WIN being WIN…
Wasn’t actually going to mention this here, but funnily enough a mate of mine who lives up in NSW actually rang the number yesterday. They got no response in case you’re wondering. Then I said “what’s the point in having a ‘WIN Support Line’ if there’s no one waiting to take your call!”
I don’t understand why viewers should be forced to returne their TV. Inconvenience to audience. Stations should handle the broadcast details themselves.
I was on the coast on Saturday, retune required. Had a quick look at Mediaspy’s big topic and have simply deleted the WIN channels from the channel list/ Unnecessary with a metro 10 in the market.
No, I’m pretty sure I lost 1 and 11 along with the main channel as well.
I think the main reason why this is so is that even the though the LCN Channel Names were still the same (“ONE Newcastle” and “ELEVEN Newcastle”), the Network name is different on all WIN channels ie. it now appears as WIN and not SCA.
I would be very surprised if no one required a retune.
Will be interesting to see NRN’s viewing figures in a couple of months. Unlike the regional shakeup in July 2016, figures cannot be blamed on viewer confusion due to an affiliation swap as the only visible change is watermarks. Hopefully this will be a wake up call to WIN, but I doubt it.
Tim Bailey confirmed tonight that TENs Sydney bulletin is now being aired on the Gold Coast on WIN.
He also remarked that Sandra Sully’s parents are now able to watch their daughter read the news.
And to celebrate WINs expansion to Nth NSW and the Gold Coaat, TEN News are giving away a holiday to the Gold Coast.
