They’ve really only replaced the old 9 styled WIN logo with mappy, that and a main font change and optimised it for mobile viewing.

Still no news catch up available, redirects to tenplay for catching up on shows you might’ve missed or anything worthwhile looking at on there at all. Meh

Still after all these years, the weather information on their website for the 3rd day displays Min and Max as the same temperature.

That has been the case locally for years now and no one seems to fix it!

when did win start replaying Neighbours @ 1 on their main channel episode from the previous night?

When Ten did at the start of this year. Ends this week though.

Has data been made available on how WIN’s audience has been affected with the transfer to Ten. I assume it’s as we expect but would be interesting to see how WIN News has changed and whether it’s old audience followed it to 6pm. Would also be interesting to see how WIN’s overall demos have changed - I’d assume with Ten programming they have a younger audience.

In the week of 15-21 January 2017, One nearly outrates WIN’s main channel in Regional WA, thanks to its coverage of the BBL being shown on that channel in that part of the world. WIN also outrates GWN7 in network shares.

Regional broadcaster WIN has appointed Danny Mitrovic to the role of Network Programming Content Manager.

WIN looking to buy the SCA’s station in Northern NSW (Ten), including an exchange for a Wollongong radio station.

Looks like Bruce is firming up to buy Ten I reckon.

If that happens, will mappy make its mark in the big cities?

Not a chance. The regional voice may not strong enough for any real noise to be made about it, but city viewers wouldn’t stand for that shit on the screen.

I also think it would be a mistake to replace metro Ten branding with WIN branding.

If WIN and Ten were to ever merge, I’d like to think that they’d just dump the WIN branding in favour of Network Ten branding in all markets.

On WIN purchasing the Ten affiliate station NRN from SCA, The bad news is that the station would be rebranded from Ten to WIN, and mappy and other dodgey practices would be brought to Newcastle, Gold Coast and Northern NSW.

The good news is, that being the 4th largest TV and ad revenue market in the nation, WIN would likely launch local news into Newcastle and Northern NSW

That would give Newcastle a second local news, and most NNSW cities a third local local news.

I can’t see WIN launching local news up here, I’m afraid.

I reckon it won’t be long before some WIN News bulletins disappear once the Nine News regional bulletins start eating into their markets further.

Or Maybe, WIN shall do Two Minute Local News Updates the way South Australia, Mackay and Mildura do during The Project.

I reckon that is the more likely outcome for WIN in NNSW rather than 30 minute bulletins, at least in the short term. Long term i suspect they’ll see how SCA9 news pans out in other markets before making any significant change or expansion to their WIN News strategy.

I can’t see WIN expanding local news in new areas while it’s affairmed with rhe Ten network. Maybe two minute noodle news updates would be more likely.

I bet the first news bulletins to disappear would be the wide Bay and possibly Central west and Riverina news bulletins since WIN took up ten network programming.

I visit the Mackay region quite often and can assure you that WIN provide literally zero news of any form into that market, no updates, nothing.
The TEN updates are aired but nothing at all from WIN.
