so why is WIN Mackay exempt from any local news content requirements?

WIN are not required to provide any local news content to the Central Coast or Wide Bay markets of QLD. They do however choose to provide a bulletin to the Wide Bay market, and show nothing at all in the Central Coast (Mackay) market.

I don’t think it’s a case of “not required”
The rules just state that local content only has be provided in ANY 4 or 5 (not sure which) out of 7 sub markets in QLD, it doesn’t HAVE to be Mackay that they can exclude… And they could do it in all 7 if they wish.

So it means that WIN still has to provide local content to the Townsville, cairns, Sunshine Coast and their local areas of central Queensland and darling downs in the Queensland market? Or can it exempt one or two areas from it in addition to the Mackay and Wide Bay submarkets?
If they’re exempting Mackay and Wide Bay, they can’t exempt any more regions from the local news requirements - for QLD it’s 5 out of 7 regions. Northern NSW has a similar rule where it’s 4 out of 5 (the other two aggregated markets only have 4 regions and they have to serve them all).
7 for years never provided local news in Toowoomba and Rocky. They do now however.
just saw a lineup for tonight’s programming on WIN!
It seems they might actually be doing these again now for the first time since the affiliation change.
Exact same design as Ten’s, just with a WIN logo in the corner and the top listing was “6.00 WIN News”

A decent enough effort with the graphics by WIN, however I think they could do with a better voiceover guy…

It’s only the Ten graphics with a WIN logo in place, same with Nine graphics prior to the swap

I haven’t heard that traditional voice over guy for a while… the one who voices the Win News intros and old nine network lineups
Love the animation between the circle logo and plain wordmark, ties the two together nicely.
Minor nitpick, but the solid WIN watermark in the corner should just stay there, looks odd folding away then reappearing in the same spot with the full lineup.
