Tasmania is particularly interesting because potentially all three channels could be called 9. The former TNT9, WIN which many people used to call 9, and TDT which is branded 9.
Yep, my parents are away at the moment but it will be interesting with my mum who sometimes still refers to Southern Cross as Channel 9, not so much for WIN but I know people did there and to now have actual Channel 9 will be interesting.
Thank you.
Yes, to me the PQ is definitely better than it was a few days ago. And they’ve also fixed the audio problem with all three channels which someone quizzed them about a few days again.
Nope, they don’t use the logos anymore so just have the word but it has changed from “TDT” to Nine and the LCN’s are correct for that and the multichannels.
So they use Nine up there but persist with naming it “TDT” down here. That’s odd.
For anyone curious, here’s a cap of how the layout currently looks in The Mercury’s print TV guide.
Why is TDT listed before ABC and SBS?
Where you see TDT listed now is where WIN used to be and vice versa.
If the ad for Southern Cross News (or other SCTV programs) at the bottom of the page is a regular thing, I’m honestly surprised that SCTV hasn’t got the first column of the TV guide!

I very much doubt they’d care. They would much prefer their daily banner rather than having the first listing. After all, the promo is more eye-catching isn’t it?
Apologies for the double post.
It was pretty weird watching the V8 coverage on WIN today.
We had a few occasions where actual TEN promos were shown.
At one point I saw a promo for “Brock” using TEN branding which was immediately followed by an NCIS promo using WIN branding. Then, at the end of the break, the Brock promo was shown again using WINs branding.
Very messy!
Very messy!
WIN? Messy?! Never!! They would be really offended by such talk.
Ten put those into their feed - I caught one watching on Ten where they had the Live & Free watermark up the top during the promo.
Obviously the solution here is for Ten to rebrand as WIN so there’s consistency.
I assumed this would be the case. I did see one occasion where that watermark was present during the promo. But, on the other occasions I saw, the WIN “watermark” and the Live and Free “watermark” had faded out when the TEN promos were airing, which I thought was odd.

Something I did notice last night. WIN for some reason are choosing not to add a watermark for One whenever they breakaway from Ten’s One for Home Shopping. Something they did for Gem whenever they did this.
That’s really strange, I saw you post the new TDT and TDT HD logos the other day and wondered where they were in use because I hadn’t seen them.
That’s really strange, I saw you post the new TDT and TDT HD logos the other day and wondered where they were in use because I hadn’t seen them.
I’ve come across the new TDT HD logo on a few of the online guides only. The cap I posted above from The Mercury TV guide only has TDT (SD).
Should be just Nine rather than bloody TDT still!
Edit: I’ll also add that the local TV listings in the TV Week have Nine with the ‘9’ logo. No trace of TDT in that anymore.
That is surely metroist! Or regionalist! Well, one of the other?
What is the point of OzTAM releasing figures if the world is prohibited from discussing them. There have been significant changes in the regional market in the last week and part of the discussion of those changes is how it’s affects the ratings. Considering companies where the public can be shareholders are involved it is surely in the public interest for those figures to be discussed.
Does explain though why you post the ratings and then close the thread. Always found that odd how you seemed to stop any discussion of them before they began.
if that does your head in, try TV Week
