Nine (WIN)

Does anyone know any recent Regional TAM figures for WIN?

I know Ch 7 regional (Prime7/GWN7/Southern Cross TV) are said to be #1.

(e.g.) WIN News VS. 7 Local News in QLD?

I would assume 7 Local has always edged out WIN in QLD (expect for when there’s NRL, The Voice, The Block, etc)?

Will be interesting in QLD especially, to see how WIN fares.

Wonder if WIN might end up coming 3rd in QLD (and possibly other markets now)? Also seeing as “Ch 9” is clearly SCA’s new channel name.

Just more bonuses for the Seven Network/Prime7/SCA…

RegionalTam has ratings on its website

Ten Nine and Seven are stacked very closely now.

I expect across SNSW VIC QLD AND TAS that 7 Queensland / prime7 will
Continue to be #1

I also think that the historical ratings strength of the WIN owned stations, plus keeping channel 8, plus WIN news, plus to recent strength of Ten programming - will keep WIN in the #2 position for a while

I think the historically low rated SC stations, combined with a complete lack of local news and branding, combined with keeping the channel 5 LCN - and also Nine’s recent performance - will
Result in SC owned stations staying in the #3 position for quite a few months

Perhaps when they launch local news, the 5/8 thing settles sown and Nine as a network pips up a bit - SC will have a shot at being #2 - but for the next few months I predict they will be #3

If you’re wondering why they’re seldom mentioned, it’s because Regional TAM figures cannot be posted/reproduced in this forum.

Just saw a TEN Metro advert on ELEVEN[/quote]Have noticed for the last few hours that all the promos on Eleven and One that have aired have been Ten metro instead of WIN’s versions. Given up already and will just let them through?

Our loungeroom TV you cannot change the order of the channels. Only skip channels.

So it goes ABC12 … SBS… then 9 then 7 …then Win right at the end I think

So my parents aren’t watching WIN News anymore . I saw them watching 7 Local News and 9 News.

They don’t watch Ch10 much so if they associate WIN as Ten won’t watch the news on there.

Even my mum said “Oh I was looking for Judge Judy and then realised it was on WIN not Ten”

So it goes 2s, 3s, 5s, 6s, 8s?
(or ABC, SBS, Nine, Seven, Ten(WIN))

Wasn’t WIN always at the back end?
It just used to be ABC, SBS, Ten, Seven, Nine (WIN).

Interestingly, the “Newcastle Herald” has listed Network TEN programs as being on WIN (LCN 5) for today and tomorrow in it’s TV guide in today’s paper.

Well that’s clearly a mistake. Whoops!

I haven’t seen it myself, but apparently the local paper in Mackay here still has “Southern Cross TEN” listed with Nine’s programming underneath.

TDT is still empty in our TV guides, likely to be a few more days before newspapers can catch up with the guides, another reason why it was a smart move by WIN to hold the negotiations and uncertainty, there’s no guides even some of the online ones aren’t updated.

The funny thing is The Examiner still has Gem and Go listed with programs… and on the wrong lcn’s too.

Has probably already been mentioned, but watching WINHD (Ten), Eleven and One via WIN now and the PQ is still incredibly bad. Meanwhile watching 9HD, 9go! and 9gem via SCA the PQ is very good unlike before under WIN. WIN continuing to be shit as usual! :slightly_frowning_face:

At least the shit is on a 3rd rating network now.

Absolutely agree.
9HD looks stunning here, absolutely the best quality of any of the channels we have in my opinion, so SCA have done a fabulous job there, especially considering 9HD wasn’t expected to be available from launch.
Meanwhile, Eleven and One definitely look worse than they used to.

Will WIN add a HD bug on there channel?

Now they need to think about the news content side of things. Those updates doing the rounds look atrocious (makes the previous Ten styled updates look half decent!).

Back to the topic of WIN, is WINHD even HD anymore? It sure doesn’t look like it to me…

Ten doesn’t air much content in HD, so naturally WIN would not be

Most US stuff on Ten seems to still be in SD

The impression I had here comments on this forum is that WIN HD when they were partnered with Nine, the PQ was very good.

So are you all saying now that the PQ on 9HD on 50 with SCA is even better?

I can understand the comments re the SD channels and WIN HD with 10 due to the lack of HD conetent.

Absolutely, in my opinion 9HD looks better than the old WIN HD used to. It’s marvellous in my opinion, so so clear!
WIN HD was good, but not this good.

9HD is good enough now that 9 News Brisbane looks a bit shitty when it comes on after watching other shows on the channel (obviously because it’s upscaled SD), but previously on WIN HD I couldn’t really tell the difference between 9 News Brisbane and other programming.

WIN HD with TEN now isn’t totally terrible, the ads look nearly comparable to 9HD, but programming is definitely not as good.
