So far a little bit disappointed with Stan Sports.
I have been having some buffering of the stream too but not as bad as others, just the very occasional, and I am on a 50mbps NBN connection.
My Sony tv Stan sports app does not support live streaming so had to chromecast from a mobile.
Picture quality looks to be SD at best, Kayo was in HD, so watching on 9 Gem HD, and the Tahs are getting flogged!!!

Sorry to hear that. My Stan stream on Apple TV has been perfect.
I saw someone on Twitter say they couldn’t get a stable connection either.

The stream is ok but the picture quality is far superior on 9 Gem which is full HD in Sydney.
I would have thought Stan Sports would have streamed in full HD like Fox Sports does on Kayo.

My Stan looks full HD. It’s clearer than our 9Gem HD in Newcastle.

I get 9 Wollongong as well as 9 Sydney and the picture quality on Gem Wollongong is pretty average. Wollongong only has 9 Gem in SD.
The buffering issue has resolved it’s self.
What I do like is it is a continuous stream with no add breaks at all.

Any chance Gordon Bray will be involved in Nine/Stan’s coverage or is he retired/signed somewhere else?

Ditto for Greg Clark (ex-Fox Sports). Given Stan will broadcast every match of Shute Shield and Hospital Cup, it will need additional callers.

I’ve really enjoyed the commentators explaining the rules of rugby during the broadcast it really helps new people to the game of rugby ‘get it’

Sky Channel did a deal with Stan without telling their owner Tabcorp who then pulled the plug when they were told. NSW Racing chief boofhead Peter V’landys, who has the same title at the NRL, apparently didn’t like the deal either as he thinks it would’ve affected betting turnover. V’landys is dirty with Nine anyway as he didn’t like their promotion of rugby union and apparent lack of promotion of rugby league. Nine is still hoping to do a deal to get Stan Sport into pubs and clubs.
