Nine/Stan Rugby Union Coverage

I like the flat watermark.

Also lol the Betoota boys cosplaying as lads from the country is so embarrassing

I’m sure it wouldn’t, definitely not the post game (which was was listed as a separate program). The networks usually code separately, ridiculously, “pre” etc (when often the Top 20 on weekends is filled with them).

It’s hard to believe the same network created each set considering one is good and modern while the other is plain and bad.

Of course it will be record numbers… they’ve never had it before

It will be held in Auckland from tomorrow to Sunday (May 21-23) with both men’s and women’s teams against their NZ counterparts.

This must mean Foxsports has lost Rugby world 7’s? And it’s another pick up for stan sports.

Not really - they’re not World Rugby Sevens events, they’re a NZR/Australian Rugby product.

Wonder if Stan/Nine will just take the Sky feed for the Bledisloe Cup or if they do what Ten/Fox used to do?

Sky commentary maybe, with their own other coverage. Then again they could get over there, so we could see their own commentary.

The Rugby Championship fixture posted above only confirmed venues for 7 of the 12 matches. The venues for the other five are yet to be determined, but two will be held in South Africa and three in Australia.

The Wallabie and the All Blacks will play another Bledisloe Cup match at Eden Park on August 7, before the Rugby Championship. It will be broadcast on Nine and Stan Sport. The August 21 and 28 matches will be held at Perth’s Optus Stadium and Wellington’s Sky Stadium respectively.

The match will now be played at Sydney’s Leichhardt Oval this Sunday (May 30) at 3pm AEST and streamed live on Stan Sport.

Good get for Stan, their subscribers will be happy. I do wonder if there was any bid from Fox for the tour

The fixture for the rescheduled Women’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand was announced overnight. The tournament will be held in October-November 2022. Although the current broadcast deal with Nine/Stan cover Wallaroos games, the WRWC is not included as the rights are held by World Rugby, so Fox Sports can still bid to show the tournament in Australia.

Apparently the bid for WR events include next years world cup, the Sevens World Cup and 2023 Men’s World Cup in France.

The Blues will host the Highlanders in the Super Rugby Trans-Tasman final at Auckland’s Eden Park next Saturday (June 19), after the Blues beat the Force 31-21 this afternoon in the 5th and final round of the competition. 9Gem’s coverage starts at 4.30pm AEST.

Blues, Highlanders and Crusaders all had a clean sweep of Australian teams during the competition, but Highlanders edged out Crusaders for a spot in the final on points difference (+103 to +97).
