Play in the Masters suspended after this

Nine’s watermark not working too well with the recorded highlights being shown. Play scheduled to begin early tomorrow but weather forecast not favourable.

The suggestion is that there may be very little (if any) play tomorrow

Fox moved their bug to the right for a while but that was covering scores on the highlights, so they moved it back to the left covering part of the “earlier today” graphic which was probably the lesser of two evils, and ran a lower-third occasionally advising play had been suspended due to weather and these were highlights from earlier.

Third round suspended due to rain. Play resuming at 10:30pm AEST. 9Gem didn’t pick up the coverage of the conclusion of second round so I’d be surprised if they pick up the third round resumption. 9Now picked up the resumption though so should do again tonight.

Fourth round starting much later than scheduled at 2:30am AEST. To push everyone through in time, players will be in groups of two rather than three, and groups will tee off simultaneously at the 1st and 10th tees.

CBS fourth round coverage starting at the scheduled time of 4am AEST, per @cbssports on Twitter, so I expect main World Feed coverage from the same time meaning 9Gem will start at the scheduled time. An overrun is certainly possible.

Good to see 9Now streaming the Australian Swimming Championships. Swimming is a sport Nine aired for many years 20 years ago or so and has got back the rights from Amazon Prime.

The finals of UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League will air on Nine Network and 9Now for the first time, starting from the 2024/25 season, as part of Stan’s multi-year contract extension with UEFA.

It will also be the first time UEFA Conference League is shown on FTA.

The UEFA Champions League will continue to be shown on Nine Network and 9Now as part of the new deal.

Why not add a game per week to the multichannels? Would be great, and not like they’d be short of coverage.

Is the Champions League final already shown?

I mean it’s only been around for a season.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they keep that Stan-exclusive. Gotta have the cheese to lure the mouse.

UCL is creme de la creme. UEL is pre-packaged dessert. UECL is off milk.

No, this week is the first leg of the semi-finals. The second leg is next week.
The final is scheduled for June 10 at Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, and will be shown live on both Stan Sport and 9Gem.

Wasn’t it shown on FTA last year?

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SWIMMING TRIALS

EXCLUSIVE ON 9NOW

The road to the Olympics for Australia’s best swimmers will begin on 9Now when the 2023 World Championship Swimming Trials are exclusive, live and free from June 13-18.

Fans will receive coverage of every heat and every final across six days of action at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, where more than 500 swimmers will be out to earn a place on the Dolphins team for July’s World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.

The Men’s field will include world record-holder Zac Stubblety-Cook, Kyle Chalmers, Mack Horton and Cody Simpson, while our standout female swimmers including Emma McKeon, Ariarne Titmus, Mollie O’Callaghan, Bronte Campbell and Shayne Jack will all line up.

The broadcast of the World Championship Trials arranged by Swimming Australia and Nine further builds to the path the Paris 2024 Olympics following the Australian Age Championships and Australian Swimming Championships which were shown on 9Now in April.

Brent Williams, Nine’s Director of Sport, said the success of the Network’s recent swimming coverage signified just how important it is to showcase the stars of today and tomorrow in the lead up to Paris 2024.

“There’s already a host of household names in the Australian Dolphins but the emerging talent is just as exciting and Nine’s Wide World of Sports is looking forward to showcasing these champions to anyone, anywhere through 9Now,” he said.

“The World Championships in Fukuoka will be the biggest event on the swimming calendar in 2023, so we’re delighted 9Now will be providing free coverage of the Trials to swimming fans throughout Australia.”

Dr Michelle Gallen, Swimming Australia President, said: “Australia’s appetite to watch top-class swimming has never gone away and it is exciting to see the upcoming World Championships Trials will be streamed on 9Now.”

“We saw positive viewing numbers throughout the Australian Age Championships and Australian Championships earlier this year, with more than 14 million minutes viewed across the country.

“With World Championships berths on the line, the Trials will be hotly contested and it is great news for fans of Australian swimming that no matter where you are across the country, you will be able to stream the action live on 9Now.”

The 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan will be available exclusive, live and free on the 9Network and 9Now from July 14-30.
