Nine Sports Broadcasting

And yet, this week the NHL is live in Brisbane and Adelaide. Not sure why Nine wants to broadcast a repeat of Surf Boat Tsunami at 9am on 9Go! in Brisbane instead of live NHL.

Switch feeds. When One HD was around, it happened all the time. Literally a flick of a switch and all of a sudden, same game but different commentators, different graphics etc.

Clearly Nine weren’t prepared or didn’t care. Unless there’s something preventing Nine from doing this (maybe the NHL is forcing Nine to use this and only this bespoke broadcast feed)?

If you watch Bein sports, it’s the same. I know it’s not free tv but a issue will happen they tell you what it is then they fix it.

Disney+ streams every game with both home and away feeds as option and ESPN also airs selected games, so yeah Disney/ESPN might be restricting 9 from using alternative feeds

Clearly hell will freeze over before the below happens.

But because Nine is in direct contact with the league, it probably might be able to ask for a feed of NHL Network.

At the time it was carrying home broadcast of Maple Leafs vs Kraken.

If ESPN/Disney has a problem with it, just mention the technical problems and clearly state “we will not do this regularly”.

Once techs are done with, cut it off the earliest second possible.

My preferred solution, though, is to switch the feeds back to the “original” network schedule with an on-air message.

Channel 9 airing the Melbourne Cup with its 2nd-ever live broadcast.

Loved the coverage last year which was a huge upgrade from Ten’s second attempt

I don’t know, the 9.40pm showing of E3 could be attributed to “others” or “rest of Australia”.

Unless Nine is planning on showing it twice in two different channels in Melbourne.

Seriously? It’s discussed on here weekly. Where did you think the AFL shows and Tennis coverage was being broadcast from?
