Nine (Southern Cross)

Different network affiliation but same company, this waste of a channel was on 54 when I was up in Northern NSW. Meanwhile One was on 50, with Ten HD on 52 and TVSN on 57: Don’t ask me SCA’s logic, but at least one of the very few good things to come out of the eventual WIN ownership of NRN will be a channel reshuffle!

I agree that SCA should just get rid of the “black screen” channel (Formerly YesShop for about a month or two) if there aren’t any plans to use it! Hopefully that isn’t using any significant amount of bandwidth which could go to more important purposes: Ie, improving picture quality!

Could extra from the nine network fill up the channel with the LCN 55? Surely there’s nothing stopping southern cross (nine) from showing it?

Well, WIN did it for a few months. I can’t see a problem other than Nine would take their 50%?

21:51 and a 9News Sydney promo aired in Canberra.
Is this TCN9 sending out bad timing/break info to their affiliates (which appears to happen sometimes like after a Newsbreak when it’s as if the promo is part of the programme), or just not distinguishing their Sydney news promos from other promos with SC9 want to let through?
Maybe SC9 need to just give up on letting through promos from Sydney and always play their own Nine promos as well as local commercials.

The first one since the change from being SC Ten; perhaps now being on a higher rating network it’ll improve how much is raised.

Irrelevant pop up seen in regional Queensland.

Only because of the wording in the logo. Every market that SC9 broadcasts to in Queensland can hear Hamish and Andy, almost all with a station that uses the hit logo. - It’s a lot less irrelevant than if it was a promo for say Nova!

They could have left the frequency off the logo.

Perils of running with a dirty feed…

Canberra got the pop up with the 2day logo. Hamish and Andy are on Hit 104.7 here.

It seems SCA are using two different themes for their sponsor boards…

Different voice over too. I noticed the second one also doesn’t have the 9 logo on it.

Yes just Canberra (at least in June; I gather there are similar events for other regions at other times).
