Nine (Southern Cross)

Because Nine own and operate NBN

Edit: Misunderstood what you were saying. Probably because the service didn’t exist there in the first place, plus the Nine affiliates would be priority

Maybe they are planning to offload ten NNSW at some point in the future. Why invest money into something you potentially will rid yourself of?

Same as any sale - make the business as attractive as possible to said buyer

But SC signed a five year deal with Ten for the station…

Yep. Sadly SC10 are taking advantage of their NNSW viewers, who don’t know any better.

Although there used to be an SC10 HD prior to 2009.

Hot FM Townsville have live streamed an interview on Facebook standing in front of the 9, 9Gem and 9Go logos.

Notice the old Gem logo is used

the August date may have been a ‘worst case scenario’ projection so if things went better then they can bring the date forward and they look like the good guys.

Looks like its WIN V 10

Signage in Albury has also been updated now. Just got the Nine logo on the building where the SCTen logo used to be - no Gem or Go logos.
Did Tassie ever have 9Life ? My dad was talking to a relative a while back about that channel and they said they didn’t get it in Launceston.
Yes. Tasmania received it when WIN launched it. WIN HD was delayed into Tassie by a day due to “technical issues”.
That’s going to get some outrage from Tasmania, we had it before and WIN were pumping out the ads as in other regions and most of the comments I’ve had when posting about the changes were all asking about where the Life channel would be.
Just reading the Nine on 5 Facebook, and there is plenty of outrage already. I personally have no interest in 9Life but it definitely sucks for the viewers in Tas and SA who were genuinely looking forward to its return. Hopefully it will return into these regions at some stage. Wonder what the problem is anyway? Is it WIN again or something more technical?

Maybe the tassie market is too small
To sell advertising on the channel

I doubt that that would be the issue.
Likely just something to do with either SCA and/or WIN not wanting to put any new resources or equipment into a channel that’s only being broadcast on a joint venture.

This placeholder is appearing on LCN55 here, with the 9Life starts July 17 image appearing on LCN54.

Might it have also been left out of the agreement with Nine? Might have been a negotiating tactic and would explain why WIN have also taken it off air in Mildura, SA and WA where they were previously broadcasting it so clearly have resources to do so.

If they thought there was profit in carrying 9Life Tasmania it would be on the air

I hate this dumb new bogan channel give me 10 back

Comment on Nine on 5 page.in reference to 9Life.

and

This has absolutely spoiled my television choice options - I hate this I don’t want yet another bogan nine lifestyle advertorial bogan-news channel - bugger off and return programming from 10

and

See no reason to swap the programs, deal would have been exactly the same if left as was, just confusing for the elderly and quite honestly everyone else, if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.

Admittedly I have to agree. I also hate having to watch A current affair at 7 pm.

I’d much rather have local news thab a Current affair at 7 pm.

In some ways the old arrangements were far better.

Someone speaking the truth!

Oops…

Looks as though Nine have moved the Nine logo over to the right a little on the dirty feed, while SCA are still inserting the HD in the old location.
