Question: Would you expect any longrunning metro reporters to be made redundant to make way for some of the ex-Nine News Local reporters? Because unless Nine are planning to expand their metro newsrooms (I very much doubt this in the current climate), there are only so many positions to go around!

They will move over as much staff into other areas of Nine as they can.

Excess staff will probably go on a waiting list of some sort and be contacted if a position arises - or given priority if they apply. There are a few casuals floating around regional which most likely won’t be offered a new role.
