Would we? Apart from presenters, and maybe some differences in the way that directors and producers configure the run down, there isn’t any differences to the cameras I don’t think.

Reservist Wing Commander Peter Overton’s love for storytelling and discovering more about people has allowed him to wear many hats during his career.
As a reservist with the Royal Australian Air Force, he also contributes to telling RAAF’s story as a specialist reserve public affairs officer.

Personally, I think the actual explanation as to why Peter is having time off is due to his regular Easter-timed break. Happy to be corrected.

IIRC, the last time Peter Overton was off air at Easter was in 2015…but this was due to the back pain which saw him out of action for a few weeks including having to miss out on that year’s NSW Election coverage.
Aside from the usual six weeks over Summer, his breaks in recent years have typically been mid-year and since 2018 (which I’d guess is something Pete may have asked the network for after Jess left Studio 10), during October.
