I don’t think the industry is in trouble as such, it’s just more aligning cost bases to the current trading environment. Now we have cycled out of the higher revenue pandemic era, the reality has now set in, many need to adjust the wage budget to a more appropriate level. Seems like many have seen earnings certainly tick down this FY and have adjusted accordingly.
I think many will be more strategic with where they use head count, employees will likely be squeezed much more. Balance Sheet discipline certainly wil be closely monitored moving forward.
