Nine News Presenters and Reporters

I doubt Amber would react the same way if someone walked into her shot. She’d probably rip them a new one.

And she has shown she has experience in that area. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Natarjsha Kramer who was a reporter for 9 News Adelaide appeared on Today this morning from Brisbane, she is now a reporter for 9 News Queensland. She moved up about a month ago. The cycling through of reporters through Adelaide continues.

I’d say their Adelaide and Gold Coast Reporter teams are “training grounds” to bigger metro markets. Especially so for Reporters who want a career at Nine and have done a stint at one of their regional news bulletins.

Certainly seems that way, do a stint in regionals, then Adelaide or Gold Coast then onto one of the 3 eastern State bulletins.

Some exceptions like veteran reporter Petrina Zapfir (who was Ten’s Gold Coast Reporter for a while) and long termer Brendon Wolf at Nine Gold Coast.

And I’m sure Adelaide has a few Reporters who won’t leave either.

The closing theme music completely drowned out Georgie’s sign off tonight…She took it well!

Hilarious! Was she laughing because of the blooper? They usually show a wide shot of the 3 presenters…

Kramer moved to QLD for personal reasons, as opposed to being hand-picked, and is indirectly a maternity cover. She’s been stumbling through lives. Alice Monfries was supposed to be reading national bulletins with the move to Sydney, but that didn’t last long. I agree about Adelaide being a training ground, but maybe more training is needed.

Gold Coasters usually get promoted to Brisbane, which actually strengthens the metro bulletin. Carrie-Anne Greenbank was always a strong reporter, so it’s great to see her now in Europe.

Nothing wrong with that but Nine News Adelaide should consider themselves lucky that their presenting team is fairly young. They don’t have many reporters who could do bulletins.
Apart from Brenton, Kate, Will and Eddy they don’t have anyone else on the books to read the news. Maybe Mike Lorigan, Tom Rehn Jessica Braithwaite can but then who?

Seven’s back up team in Adelaide is so much stronger in comparison. The bulletin doesn’t skip a beat whenever one of their backup presenters present.

Scherri-Lee Biggs will be absent from presenting Perth weather for a while.

I’m sure I’ve seen NRL Grand Final evening editions of Nine News Sydney presented by Peter Overton in the past.

OK, so Nine News Sydney has had fill-in presenters on Grand Final day the last two years but this has been accompanied by a full week off air (I’d imagine that a week off during the October NSW School Holidays is something Pete would’ve asked for in 2018, after Jess left Studio 10) which this year was between October 4 and 8.

Speaking of Pete, this really shows his charisma

Why do these TV networks insist on putting their reporters in a situation where they’re mobbed and drowned out by drunken yobbos in leagues clubs and football stadiums? Poor Alice Monfries looked really uncomfortable in that live cross during the Sydney news. She clearly wasn’t safe whether or not you factor in the Covid situation.

I wonder if the NSW Police will be issuing Panthers fines for clear Covid breaches.

Unfortunately, it just seems to be a case of publicity and grabbing attention for the networks, with little disregard to the reporter’s health at times.
